The undersigned Parties condemn the outrageous and unprecedented attack of the Ukrainian authorities against the Communist Party of Ukraine and its Leader on 8 May, 2018. Thesearch of the CPU offices followed the violent entry and search of the authorities in the house of the CPU Leader, Petro Simonenko.

It is not by chance that these attacks have taken placeon the eve of the 9^th of May, the Day of the Antifascist Victory of the peoples to which the Ukrainians had a significant and heroic contribution.

These developments in Ukraine are the outrageous escalation of continuous intense attacks and persecution of the Ukrainian communists that started right after the coup d’ etat over the democratically elected government in 2014 that also led to the rise of neo-nazi and ultra-nationalist groups at all levels of the political and social spectrum of the country.

At this difficult moment, we express our solidarity with the members and leadership of the Communist Party of Ukraine and will use all fora to denounce these acts.

Denunciamos los nuevos ataques contra el Partido Comunista de Ucrania

Los partidos abajo firmantes condenan el indignante y sin precedentes ataque de las autoridades ucranianas contra el Partido Comunista de Ucrania y sus líderes el 8 de mayo, 2018. La búsqueda de las oficinas del PCU siguieron a la violenta entrada y búsqueda de las autoridades en la casa del líder del PCU, Petro Simonenko.

No es casualidad que estos ataques tengan lugar en la víspera del 9 de mayo, día de la victoria antifascista de los pueblos, en la cuál los ucranianos tuvieron una significante y heroica contribución.

Estos hechos en Ucrania son la intensa continuación de la indignante escalada de ataques y persecución contra los comunistas ucranianos que empezaron justo después del golpe de estado contra el gobierno democráticamente elegido en 2014 que dió lugar también al levantamiento de grupos neo-nazis y ultra-nacionalistas en todos los niveles del espectro social y político del país.

En estos difíciles momentos, expresamos nuestra solidaridad con los miembros y líderes del Partido Comunista de Ucrania y usaremos toda nuestra fuerza para denunciar estos actos.
