TEACHERS - Mass strike rallies for education and life with dignity

The government responded to their just demands with chemicals outside the Parliament

On 15/12, teachers from the public and private sector together with students held a mass strike rally at the Propylaea and a demonstration in the centre of Athens, asserting their demands for modern and safe schools, adequate funding for education, and increases in their salaries. The government’s response to their just demands was an attacklaunched by strong police forces outside the parliament, who beat them and used chemicals.

A march took place in central streets of Athens that “encircled” the Ministry of Finance in a symbolic move, passing through Mitropoleos street, to then end up outside the Parliament, where the demonstrators were attacked by riot police.

“While plaster is peeling off the ceiling at schools,they are throwing tear gas at teachers”, stressed the All Workers’ Militant Front (PAME), which in a statement denounced the unacceptable violent attack of the government with riot police and tear gas. “The government wants to ‘teach’ repression and intimidation, but today the lesson was taught by the militant, determined attitude of thousands of young children and militant teachers who are not intimidated and do not bow their heads, but struggle and demand, against the rotten system that wants to crush their dreams”, stressed PAME among other things.

“On the path of struggle, in the rallies of the workers and the youth, against repression and intimidation, our tears and our anger will become their nightmare”, PAME notes, demanding “the immediate abolition of all repression units”.

El gobierno “respondió” a sus demandas justas con el uso de gases lacrimógenos fuera del parlamento

El 15 de diciembre, maestros y profesores del sector público y privado en el marco de su huelga realizaron una concentración masiva en los Propileos y manifestaron en el centro de Atenas junto con alumnos. Reivindicaron escuelas modernas y seguras, suficiente financiación para la Educación y aumentos de los salarios del personal docente. La “respuesta” del gobierno a sus justas demandas y  reivindicaciones fue un ataque en su contra por las fuerzas policiales fuera del parlamento que los golpearon y utilizaron gases lacrimógenos. 

Una marcha dinámica se realizó en las calles principales de Atenas. En un acto simbólico los manifestantes “rodearon” el Ministerio de Finanzas, pasando por la calle Mitropoleos, para llegar a continuación frente al Parlamento, donde fueron atacados por la policía antidisturbios (MAT). El Frente Militante de Todos los Trabajadores (PAME) comentó en su comunicado que en las escuelas cae yeso de los techos y a los profesores los lanzan gases lacrimógenos, denunciando el ataque violento inaceptable del gobierno con la policía antidisturbios, destacando entre otras cosas: “El gobierno quiere “enseñar” la represión y la intimidación, pero hoy los que enseñaron fueron miles de jóvenes y profesores luchadores que no se intimidan, no agachan la cabeza, sino que con su postura combativa y decisiva luchan y reivindican contra el sistema podrido que quiere aplastar sus sueños. En el camino de lucha, en las movilizaciones de los trabajadores y los jóvenes, contra la represión y la intimidación, nuestras lágrimas y nuestra rabia serán su pesadilla”, y demanda ”la abolición inmediata de todas las unidades antidisturbios”.

مظاهرات جماهيرية كفاحية للتربويين من أجل تعليم وحياة بكرامة

"استجابت" الحكومة لمطالبهم العادلة باستخدام الغازات الكيماوية خارج مقر البرلمان

قام التربويون العاملون في القطاعين العام و الخاص بتنظيم تجمع إضرابي جماهيري في نقطة بروبيليا ومظاهرة في مركز أثينا يوم 15\12 مُعربين عن مطالبهم بتأمين بمدارس حديثة وآمنة وتمويل كافٍ للتعليم وزيادة رواتب موظفيه. هذا و تمثَّل  "ردُّ" الحكومة على مطالبهم و استحقاقاتهم العادلة في تنفيذ اعتداء عليهم من قبل قوات الشرطة العاتية المتواجدة خارج البرلمان، التي ضربتهم واستخدمت الغازات الكيماوية ضدهم.

هذا و كانت مسيرة زاخمة قد طافت شوارع مركز أثينا و قامت ﺑ"حصار" مقر وزارة المالية ضمن خطوة رمزية مروراً بشارع ميتروبوليوس، لينتهي بها المطاف خارج مقر البرلمان، حيث تعرضت للاعتداء من قبل قوى حفظ النظام.

و أفاد بيان أصدرته جبهة النضال العمالي "بامِه" تنديداً بالاعتداء العنيف غير المقبول من قبل الحكومة ضد التربويين عبر استخدام قوى حفظ النظام للغاز المسيل للدموع: «تتهالك أجزاء من كساء جدران المدارس على التربويين و تقوم الحكومة باستخدام الغاز المسيل للدموع على التربويين»، حيث أشار البيان في سياقه أيضاً إلى ما يلي: «تريد الحكومة "تلقين" القمع والترهيب، لكن الدرس اليوم قد أُعطي عبر الموقف الحازم لآلاف الفتيات و الفتيان الصغار و التربويين الكفاحيين الذين لا يخضعون أمام الترهيب و لا يطأطئون رؤوسهم، بل يكافحون ويطالبون ضد هذا النظام العفن الذي يريد يسحق أحلامهم.

على طريق النضال في مسيرات العمال و الشباب ضد القمع و اﻹرهاب الممارس من قبل الدولة، ستصبح دموعنا وغضبنا كابوساً لهم».  

كما و طالب بيان جبهة النضال العمالي ﺒ« إلغاء فوري لجميع وحدات القمع».
