Thousands of people demanded: For the Greek-US Agreement to be cancelled, no participation in the imperialist war

On Thursday, 12 May, the ND government voted in Parliament for the new despicable Greece-US agreement that provides for the expansion of the US-NATO military bases in Greece.

At the same time, thousands of people in Athens, responding to the call of the Struggle Committee against the Greek-US Agreement on Military Bases, together with Trade Unions and mass organizations, held one of the largest and most militant anti-imperialist rallies of recent times. They demanded for the Greek-US Agreement to be cancelled - no participation in the imperialist war. Rallies were held in dozens of cities throughout Greece as well.

A large delegation of the CC of the KKE headed by its GC, Dimitris Koutsoumbas, attended the rally.

Dimitris Koutsoumbas,in his speech the same day in the Plenum of the Parliament, highlighted that the Greece-US Agreement on Military Basesis historically dangerous for the people, historically detrimental to the country's sovereign rights, and the responsibilities are historic for everyone that will vote in favour, but also for those who prepared it within the framework of the strategic dialogue with the USA inaugurated by SYRIZA and ending with the monstrosity agreement that the Prime Minister wants to bring to the meeting with the US president.

Commenting on the shielding of the country from Turkish aggression, he noted that “not even your supporters believe you”, and added that this is a historically completely bankrupt argument used by all governments to justify participation in NATO plans. He also noted that the country is anchored increasingly in NATObased on the interests of specific sections of the Greek bourgeoisie.

Dimitris Koutsoumbas underlined thatthe banner that the KKE hung on the Acropolis reading “No to war, no involvement, no to the bases of death” honoured the militancy of our people.

Тысячи людей потребовали отмены греко-американского соглашения, отказа от участия в империалистической войне.

В четверг 12 мая правительство НД большинством голосов ратифицировало в парламенте новое неприемлемое греко-американское соглашение, предусматривающее расширение американо-натовских военных баз на территории Греции.

Тем временем тысячи людей в Афинах, откликнувшись на призыв Комитета по борьбе против греко-американского соглашения о военных базах, а также профсоюзы и организации провели одну из самых крупных и решительных антиимпериалистических акций протеста за последние годы. Они требовали отмены греко-американского соглашения, отказа от участия в империалистической войне. Аналогичные митинги прошли в десятках других городов Греции.

В митинге приняла участие многочленная делегация ЦК КПГ во главе с Генсеком ЦК КПГ Димитрисом Куцумбасом.

Выступая в тот день на пленарном заседании парламента, Димитрис Куцумбас подчеркнул, что греко-американское соглашение о военных базах  исторически опасное для народа, исторически ущербное для суверенных прав страны, и историческая ответственность за это лежит на тех, кто проголосует за него и тех, кто подготовил его в рамках стратегического диалога с США, начатого партией СИРИЗА, а завершившегося ратифицированием уродливого соглашения, которое премьер-министр хочет привезти на встречу с американским президентом.

Комментируя аргумент правительства о том, что военные базы позволят защитить страну от турецкой агрессии, он сказал, что «даже ваши сторонники вам не верят», добавив, что речь идет о совершенно несостоятельном с исторической точки зрения аргументе, используемом всеми правительствами для оправдания участия в планах НАТО. Он также отметил, что страна все крепче привязывается к колеснице НАТО, потому что это в интересах части правящего класса Греции.

Димитрис Куцумбас подчеркнул, что баннер, вывешенный членами КПГ на Акрополе с лозунгом «Нет войне, никакого участия в ней, нет военным базам смерти», говорит о  бойцовских качествах нашего народа.

Miles de personas reclamaron la cancelación del Acuerdo greco-estadounidense y la no participación en la guerra imperialista

El jueves 12 de mayo, el gobierno de la ND aprobó en el Parlamento el Acuerdo greco-estadounidense repugnanteque prevé la expansión de las bases militares de EE.UU.-OTAN en Grecia.

Al mismo tiempo, en Atenas, miles de personas respondieron al llamamiento del Comité de Lucha contra el Acuerdo greco-estadounidense sobre las bases, de sindicatos y organizaciones de masas realizaron una de las más grandes y masivas manifestaciones antiimperialistas del último período. Reclamaron la cancelación del Acuerdo greco-estadounidense y la no participación en la guerra imperialista. Manifestaciones similares tuvieron lugar en decenas de ciudades en todo el país.

A la manifestación asistió una amplia delegación del Comité Central del KKE encabezada por el Secretario General del CC, Dimitris Koutsoumbas.

Dimitris Koutsoumbas en su discurso el mismo día en la Sesión Plenaria del Parlamento destacó que el Acuerdo greco-estadounidense sobre las bases es históricamente peligroso para el pueblo, históricamente perjudicial para los derechos soberanos del país y tienen responsabilidades históricas los que votarán a favor y los que lo prepararon en el contexto del diálogo estratégico con EE.UU. inaugurado por SYRIZA, que concluyó a este monstruoso acuerdo que el Primer Ministro quiere llevarloa la reunión con el presidente de EE.UU.

Al comentar acerca del blindaje del país ante la agresión turca, destacó que “ni siquiera sus partidarios les creen” y añadió que se trata de un argumento en bancarrota histórica absoluta que ha sido utilizado por todos los gobiernos para justificar su participación en los planes de la OTAN. Agregó que el país está amarrado cada vez más al carro de la OTAN porque asíexigenlos intereses de unos sectores de la clase dominante griega.

Dimitris Koutsoumbas destacó que la pancarta que desplegó el KKE en la Acrópolis con la consigna “No a la guerra, No a la participación, No a las bases de muerte” honra la combatividad de nuestro pueblo.

طالب الآلاف من جماهير الشعب بإلغاء الاتفاقية اليونانية الأمريكية و بعدم المشاركة في الحرب الإمبريالية

صادقت حكومة حزب الجمهورية الجديدة يوم الخميس 12\5 في البرلمان على الاتفاقية اليونانية الأمريكية الجديدة المشينة التي تنص على توسيع القواعد العسكرية اﻷمريكية \اﻷطلسية في اليونان.

في الوقت نفسه، تظاهر آلاف من جماهير الشعب في أثينا استجابة لنداء لجنة النضال ضد الاتفاق اليوناني الأمريكي بشأن القواعد العسكرية، حيث قامت نقابات و منظمات بإحدى أكبر التحركات المناهضة للإمبريالية وأكثرها كفاحية في الآونة الأخيرة. و طالب المتظاهرون بإلغاء الاتفاقية اليونانية الأمريكية و بعدم المشاركة في الحرب الإمبريالية. هذا و كانت تحركات مقابلة قد نُظِّمت في عشرات المدن الأخرى في جميع أنحاء اليونان.

حضر التظاهرة وفد متعدد الأعضاء للجنة المركزية للحزب الشيوعي اليوناني برئاسة أمينها العام، ذيميتريس كوتسوباس.

و كان ذيميتريس كوتسوباس، قد شدَّد متحدثًا في ذات اليوم خلال الجلسة العامة للبرلمان، على أن الاتفاقية اليونانية الأمريكية بشأن القواعد تشكل خطراً تاريخياً على الشعب، وتضر تاريخياً بحقوق البلاد السيادية، و على المسؤوليات التاريخية لاولئك الذين صوَّتوا لصالحها، كما و لأولئك الذين أعدُّوها ضمن إطار الحوار الاستراتيجي مع الولايات المتحدة الذي دشَّنه سيريزا و الذي خَلُص إلى قيام الاتفاق - المسخ الذي يريد رئيس الوزراء الحالي تقديمه خلال اجتماعه المزمع مع الرئيس الأمريكي.

و تعليقاً منه على المزاعم حول حماية البلاد من العدوانية التركي، سجَّل في سياق كلمته: "حتى أن أتباعكم لا يصدقونكم"، وأضاف أن هذه الحجة هي مفلسة تماماً تاريخياً و هي التي تستخدمها جميع الحكومات لتبرير المشاركة في مخططات الناتو. وأضاف أن البلاد غدت أكثر ارتباطاً بعربة الناتو، لأن ذلك هو ما تفرضه مصالح قطاعات من الطبقة الحاكمة اليونانية.

وشدَّد ذيميتريس كوتسوباس على أن اللافتة التي نشرها الحزب الشيوعي اليوناني على موقع الأكروبوليس و التي تحمل شعار "لا للحرب، لا لأية مشاركة بها، لا لقواعد الموت" تشكِّل تكريما لكفاحية شعبنا.

Des milliers de personnes ont exigé l’annulation de l'accord gréco-américain, et la non-participation à la guerre impérialiste

Le gouvernement de la ND a voté au Parlement jeudi 12 mai le nouvel accord gréco-américain méprisable qui prévoit l'expansion des bases militaires des États-Unis-OTAN en Grèce. 

Dans le même temps, des milliers de personnes à Athènes, répondant à l'appel du Comité de lutte contre l'accord gréco-américain sur les bases militaires, ainsi que des syndicats et des organisations de masse, ont organisé l'un des rassemblements anti-impérialistes les plus importants et les plus militants de ces derniers temps. Ils ont exigé l'annulation de l'accord gréco-américain et la non-participation à la guerre impérialiste. Des rassemblements ont également eu lieu dans des dizaines de villes à travers la Grèce. 

Une importante délégation du CC du KKE, ayantà sa tête son SG, Dimitris Koutsoumpas, a assisté au rassemblement. 

Dimitris Koutsoumpas, dans son discours le même jour pendant la séance plénière du Parlement, a souligné que l'accord gréco-américain sur les bases militaires est historiquement dangereux pour le peuple, historiquement préjudiciable aux droits souverains du pays, et les responsabilités sont historiques pour tous ceux qui voteront en faveur, mais aussi pour ceux qui l'ont préparé dans le cadre du dialogue stratégique avec les États-Unis inauguré par SYRIZA et aboutissant à l'accord monstrueux que le Premier ministre veut apporter à la rencontre avec le président américain. 

Commentant la protection du pays contre l'agression turque, il a noté que « même vos partisans ne vous croient pas », et a ajouté qu'il s'agit d'un argument historiquement complètement en faillite utilisé par tous les gouvernements pour justifier la participation aux plans de l'OTAN. Il a également noté que le pays est de plus en plus attachéau char de l'OTAN sur la base des intérêts de sections spécifiques de la bourgeoisie grecque. 

Dimitris Koutsoumpas a souligné que la banderole que le KKE a accrochée sur l'Acropole sur laquelle était écrit « Non à la guerre, non à la participation, non aux bases de la mort » honorait le militantisme de notre peuple.
