CP of India, CPI on Joint Statement Issued After the Meeting of the Foreign Minister of India and China at Moscow

The National Secretariat of the Communist Party of India issued the following statement today (on September 12, 2020) welcoming the outcome of India-China ministerial-level talks:

The National Secretariat of the Communist Party of India views the talks between External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar and his Chinese counterpart Wang Yi at Moscow and the statement issued thereafter as positive.

The joint statement issued after the meeting between the two ministers has underlined the need and urgency to find a peaceful solution to the current stand-off, upholding all agreements and protocols. Both the sides also committed to continue the negotiations on the basis of consensus, not allowing the differences to become disputes. 

The Party hopes that the process will lead to end the current stand-off as soon as possible.
