Nicolás Maduro's government takes over the Communist Party of Venezuela by storm

This Friday night, August 11, the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) ordered the intervention of the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) with the appointment of an ad hoc leadership composed of a group of citizens who do not belong to the ranks of the PCV.

"The Government of Nicolás Maduro has consummated the assault against the Communist Party of Venezuela through an arbitrary judicial sentence that endorses the imposition of a directive composed of mercenaries at the service of the leadership that runs the PSUV," denounced the Political Bureau of the PCV through a publication in its official accounts on social networks.

According to ruling No. 1160 of the TSJ, this fraudulent directive must organize "the internal democratic processes that guarantee the rights to political participation of the associates". However, its appointment openly violates the constitutional framework and the statutes of the PCV, an organization that last November 2022 successfully held its XVI National Congress and elected its national, regional and local leaderships.

"The magistrates of the Constitutional Chamber of the Supreme Court of Justice incurred in an inexcusable error of law by admitting and deciding a writ of amparo, promoted extemporaneously by a group of citizens who do not militate in our ranks and therefore do not have any legal qualification to act on behalf of our organization, violating the Organic Law of Constitutional Rights and Guarantees", affirmed the legitimate leadership of the PCV.

This decision is the culminating point of an anti-communist offensive undertaken at the end of 2021 by the vice-president of the PSUV, Diosdado Cabello, who through his TV program promoted a matrix of an alleged division in the ranks of the PCV.

On a weekly basis, Cabello assured that he received letters in which communist militants supported the anti-popular turn of the Government and its pact with the right-wing opposition.

This escalation of aggressions intensified after the successful 16th National Congress of the PCV (November 2022), when the highest leadership body of the Venezuelan communists ratified the line of confrontation and dissociation with respect to the neoliberal policies of the Government of Nicolás Maduro.

In view of the cohesion and internal unity of the PCV, as of February of this year, the PSUV leadership chose to disguise its militancy and hired people with clothes and symbols of the PCV to make the public opinion believe that there was discontent in what they called "bases of the PCV".

The actors of this group toured the country to hold "assemblies" financed with State resources and to pave the way for the intervention of the oldest political party in the country.

In May, these political operators of the Government leadership held a fake congress to uselessly clothe with legitimacy their mission of taking by assault the dean of modern political parties in Venezuela. Finally, last July 10, they filed a writ of amparo before the TSJ.

"This procedural fraud, which violates the political rights of the PCV and the Venezuelan working people, not only creates a serious precedent in the political and legal history of the country, but also exposes the authoritarian, anti-democratic and reactionary character of the Government-PSUV, which mistakenly believes that with this maneuver it will bend the Venezuelan communists," denounced the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the PCV upon learning of the decision of the TSJ.

 Gobierno de Nicolás Maduro toma por asalto al Partido Comunista de Venezuela

 La noche de este viernes 11 de agosto, el Tribunal Supremo de Justicia ordenó la intervención del Partido Comunista de Venezuela (PCV) con el nombramiento de una junta ad hoc compuesta por un grupo de ciudadanos que no pertenecen a las filas del Gallo Rojo.

 “El Gobierno de Nicolás Maduro ha consumado el asalto contra el Partido Comunista de Venezuela a través de una arbitraria sentencia judicial que avala la imposición de una directiva compuesta por mercenarios al servicio de la cúpula que dirige el PSUV”, denunció el Buró Político del PCV a través de una publicación en sus cuentas oficiales en redes sociales.

De acuerdo a la sentencia N.º 1160 del TSJ, esta directiva fraudulenta debe organizar “los procesos democráticos internos que garanticen los derechos a la participación política de los asociados”. No obstante, su nombramiento viola abiertamente el marco constitucional y los estatutos del PCV, organización que el pasado noviembre de 2022 realizó exitosamente su XVI Congreso Nacional y eligió a sus organismos de dirección nacionales, regionales y locales.

“Los magistrados de la Sala Constitucional del Tribunal Supremo de Justicia incurrieron en un error inexcusable de derecho al admitir y decidir un recurso de amparo, promovido de manera extemporánea por un grupo de ciudadanos que no militan en nuestras filas y por tanto no cuentan con cualidad jurídica alguna para actuar en nombre de nuestra organización, violando la Ley Orgánica de Amparo sobre Derechos y Garantías Constitucionales”, afirmó la dirección legítima del PCV.

Esta decisión es el punto culminante de una ofensiva anticomunista emprendida a finales de 2021 por el vicepresidente del PSUV, Diosdado Cabello, quien a través de su programa de televisión impulsó una matriz de una supuesta división en las filas del PCV.

Semanalmente, Cabello aseguraba que recibía cartas en las que militantes comunistas apoyaban el viraje antipopular del Gobierno y su pacto con la oposición de derecha.

Esta escalada de agresiones arreció luego del exitoso 16° Congreso Nacional del PCV (noviembre de 2022) cuando la máxima instancia de dirección de las y los comunistas venezolanos ratificó la línea de confrontación y deslinde con respecto a la política neolibral del Gobierno de Nicolás Maduro.

Ante la cohesión y unidad interna del PCV, a partir de febrero de este año, la cúpula del PSUV optó por disfrazar a su militancia y a personas contratadas con indumentaria y símbolos del Gallo Rojo para hacer creer a la opinión pública que había descontento en lo que denominaron “bases del PCV”.

Los actores de esta comparsa recorrieron el país para desarrollar “asambleas” financiadas con recursos del Estado y allanar el camino a la intervención del partido político más antiguo del país.

En mayo, estos operadores políticos de la cúpula del Gobierno realizaron un falso congreso para revestir inútilmente de legitimidad su misión de tomar por asalto al decano de los partidos políticos modernos en Venezuela. Finalmente, el pasado 10 de julio introdujeron un recurso de amparo ante el TSJ.

“Este fraude procesal, que violenta los derechos políticos del PCV y del pueblo trabajador venezolano, no solo crea un grave precedente en la historia política y jurídica del país, sino que deja al descubierto el carácter autoritario, antidemocrático y reaccionario del Gobierno-PSUV que equivocadamente cree que con esta maniobra doblegará a las y los comunistas venezolanos”, denunció el Buró Político del Comité Central del PCV al conocer la decisión del TSJ.
