Liberation of workers unjustly detained in Venezuela

The undersigned Communist and Workers’ Parties, through this communiqué, express our sincere concern over the numerous cases of workers who have been subjected to judicial proceedings and criminalization of their labor and trade union struggles in Venezuela.

We express our solidarity with the Venezuelan working class and especially with the 19 workers who are currently unjustly detained and are victims of procedural delays by the Venezuelan legal system.

We demand that the Venezuelan government and authorities immediately release the 19 workers unjustly detained for exercising their legitimate trade union rights and for denouncing cases of corruption. Likewise, we advocate the cessation of the practices of judicialization and criminalization of workers' struggles.

We extend our message of encouragement and solidarity to the families, friends and organizations that are fighting for the freedom of these 19 working class fighters.

Libertad para los trabajadores injustamente detenidos en Venezuela

Los Partidos Comunistas y Obreros abajo firmantes, a través del presente comunicado, expresamos nuestra sincera preocupación por los numerosos casos de trabajadores que han sido sometidos a procesos de judicialización y criminalización de sus luchas obreras y sindicales en Venezuela.

Expresamos nuestra solidaridad con la clase trabajadora venezolana, y en especial con los 19  trabajadores que en estos momentos se encuentran injustamente detenidos y víctimas de  retardo procesal por parte del sistema de justicia venezolano.

Demandamos del Gobierno y las autoridades venezolanas la libertad inmediata para los 19 trabajadores injustamente detenidos, por ejercer sus legítimos derechos sindicales y por denunciar casos de corrupción. Así mismo, abogamos por el cese de las prácticas de judicialización y criminalización de las luchas obreras.

Extendemos nuestro mensaje de aliento y solidaridad a los familiares, amigos y organizaciones que están luchando por la libertad de estos 19 combatientes de la clase trabajadora.
