The execution of the plan to delegitimize and attack the PCV leadership continues

This week, Vice President of the PSUV Diosdado Cabello once again lashed out against the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV), but this time he went a little further, irresponsibly accusing our Party of receiving financing from one of the former PSUV ministers.

The statements made by this high-ranking governing party leader seek to link the PCV with alleged acts of corruption committed by a former minister of Hugo Chávez and Nicolás Maduro’s administrations. They come as part of the plan aimed at forging a false flag that will serve to nationally and internationally justify the intervention and illegalization of the PCV, as well as the violation of the parliamentary immunity of our Deputy and Secretary General Oscar Figuera.

It is no coincidence that this offensive to outlaw the PCV is taking place at a time when the regressive labor policy is intensifying and plans to privatize the oil industry are advancing within the framework of the economic agreements with the U.S. government.

The government and the PSUV leadership seek to eliminate a voice of dignity and revolutionary resistance in parliament in the face of the plans to open the country up to global capital and disarm the working class of its political organizations.

We call on the Communist and Workers’ Parties of the world to remain alert and follow the advances of these anti-democratic plans against the Venezuelan working class closely.
