The struggle is not over; we must conquer a fair salary

Caracas, 15-08-2022 (Redacción TP) - "We have won a battle with the announcement of the full payment of the vacation bonus for teachers, but the struggle for the repeal of the Onapre instructions continues", declared this Monday Vladimira Moreno, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV). 

During the press conference, Moreno warned that the announcement made by the National Government after the numerous mobilizations that took place throughout the country "cannot distract us" from the way in which the Executive is gradually and certainly violating contractual rights through the instructions of the National Budget Office (Onapre). 

"Neither can we forget circular memorandum 2792", added the PCV leader to refer to one of the first tools used by President Nicolás Maduro to liquidate rights stipulated in Collective Agreements in the Public Administration. 

The PCV also recognized the vanguard role played by retirees and pensioners who since March have mobilized "despite their precarious living conditions". 

"The triumph is partial, but it is a triumph. It is a triumph of the mobilizations of the university students, teachers, students and representatives because each teacher is a leader in his school, in the university, in his community," he said. 

Moreno denounced that this leadership tried to be snatched away by the union leaders "who are the navel of the National Government" and who now try to arrogate this announcement as a victory. 

"This leadership that we teachers have in society will not be taken away from us by the illegitimate union leaders without legitimacy and who, in the case of the FTUV, had the nerve to sign an agreement with the government, betraying the interests of the workers", she affirmed. 

The leader recalled that government spokespersons and political operators in the media tried to distort the protest: "They accused us of being terrorists" and added: "they said that we wanted to overthrow the Government, but the teachers and university workers gave a great lesson of dignity". 

"We make a call to the people: let us continue in unity of action; the struggle is not over; we must conquer a fair salary", urged Moreno who recalled that there are still sectors such as health whose rights have not been restored. 

"The unity of action has defeated the betrayal of the FTUV and the illegitimate union leadership", he concluded.

Caracas, 15-08-2022 (Redacción TP).- “Hemos ganado una batalla con el anuncio del pago completo del bono vacacional de las y los docentes, pero la lucha por la derogación del instructivo de la Onapre continúa”, declaró este lunes Vladimira Moreno, integrante del Buró Político del Comité Central del Partido Comunista de Venezuela (PCV). 

Durante la rueda de prensa, Moreno advirtió que el anuncio hecho por el Gobierno Nacional tras las numerosas movilizaciones que se realizaron en todo el país “no puede distraernos” la manera cómo el Ejecutivo viene de manera paulatina y certera vulnerando derechos contractuales a través del instructivo de la Oficina Nacional de Presupuesto (Onapre). 

“Tampoco podemos olvidar el memorando circular 2792”, agregó la dirigente del PCV para referirse a una de las primeras herramientas utilizadas por el Presidente Nicolás Maduro para liquidar derechos consagrados en Convenciones Colectivas en la Administración Pública. 

El PCV también reconoció el papel de vanguardia jugado por jubilados y pensionados que desde marzo se han movilizado “a pesar de sus precarias condiciones de vida”. 

“El triunfo es parcial, pero es un triunfo. Es un triunfo de las movilizaciones de los universitarios, del magisterio, de los estudiantes y los representantes porque cada docente es un líder en su escuela, en la universidad, en su comunidad”, dijo. 

Moreno denunció que este liderazgo trató de ser arrebatado por las cúpulas sindicaleras “que son ombligo del Gobierno Nacional” y que ahora intentan arrogarse este anuncio como una victoria. 

“Ese liderazgo que tenemos los docentes en la sociedad no nos lo van a quitar írritos dirigentes sindicales sin legitimidad y que, en el caso de la FTUV, tuvieron el tupé de firmar un acuerdo con el gobierno traicionando los intereses de los trabajadores ”, afirmó. 

La dirigente recordó que voceros gubernamentales y operadores políticos en medios de comunicación intentaron desvirtuar la protesta: “Nos acusaron de terroristas” y agregó: “decían que queríamos tumbar al Gobierno, pero el magisterio y los trabajadores universitarios dieron una gran lección de dignidad”. 

“Hacemos un llamado al pueblo: sigamos en la unidad de acción; la lucha no ha terminado; debemos conquistar un salario digno”, instó Moreno quien recordó que aún hay sectores como la salud cuyos derechos no han sido restituidos. 

“La unidad de acción ha dado al traste con la traición de la FTUV y de la dirigencia sindical ilegítima”, concluyó.
