EDITORIAL UNITY AND STRUGGLE APRIL/20

 THAT´S CAPÌTALISM, YOU STUPID !!!

The Covid-19 pandemic declared by the World Health Organization is showing social and political factors of the greatest transcendence. A completely new situation in many aspects like this demands the establishment of positions drawn from the scientific socialism.

Once again the suffering of the working class along with those of the popular classes is the immediate result of facts developed amid the class society. Covid-19 affects more directly to those deprived of proper housing facilities, proper health services and a complete a balanced diet. At the same time, those countries blocked or under military attack from the imperialist powers are forced to face greater difficulties even though their more advanced social services.

In this urgent and much needed ideological debate PCPE clearly establish its position: That´s Capitalism, you stupid!!! A popular motto that now serves to summarize the whole situation.

A system with a decaying façade

In the Spanish particular case the wreckage of every system aimed to the assistance of the people shows the final stage of the privatization path taken by successive governments either headed by PP, PSOE or the local bourgeois counterparts.

Only through their personal compromise, those working for the Health Service are filling the system´s deficiencies. They are working over-exhausted and under the most acute lack of security measures. Then, when the health protocols begin to fail, a negative selection is put into practice thus taken away greater medical care in order to save the more fitted; thus showing the decadence of a social system clearly able to apply what can only be considered as social Darwinism.

Just from the beginning, PCPE has claimed for a Health Emergency to be declared instead of the Alarm State declared by the government and used as an alibi to deploy the Army in the streets of the whole country. This use of the Army also comes to show the failure of the Spanish capitalist´ system.

There´s a dramatic lack of masks, gloves, washing gel, special outfits and hospital beds, but the social-democrat government coalition has not think on the immediate cut of all military expenses as well as the on the possibility of not paying the money due to their former weapons acquisitions in order to place that money at the service of health expenses.

Chaotic management

The absence of the concept of social protection designed in order to cope with the development of the population as well as the present human inter connection has brought as its main result to the absolute lack of any plan to properly manage the actual emergency. The European Union, in its role of the highest representative of monopolies and financial capital, has opted for an “each man for his own” attitude. Now the situation has come to total chaos, especially in those areas were the infection is more acute. There is nothing as the so-called “European solidarity”. That is a complete and empty myth.

Apart from not acquiring the most needed medical supplies in advance, the Spanish government gave up any strategy for the early detection of infectious focus and for the follow-up of the infection chains. These are the main actions to be taken in order to know where to act first and where to place the resources needed to fight against the infection so it would be easier to confine those infectious focus.

This is not only the evidence of politicians´ limitations in every government´s area but also the evidence of the depletion of a political unable to give an answer of its social structure determined by the high degree of the productive forces, also unable to cope with the current relations of production.

There´s always a big slice for the capital

As an important part of this disastrous situation, capital, as usual, is taking advantage to get a bigger slice careless of the extreme emergency and careless of the general suffering.

Prices increase and hoarding of vital supplies; pharmaceutical products, drugs, masks and any other item related to the health emergency, increasing lay-offs, temporary measures aimed to cut an important percentage of workers´ wages (the special measure agreed by government and entrepreneurs known as ERTES) even among civil servants…, as recently happen to a nurse fired from her job after been infected by Covid-19!

The working class is forced to carry on with the production of non-essential items regardless of their health. What interest may lay in the continuous fabrication of Mercedes cars or in the fabrication of weapons? Workers are being transported on a massive basis to factories, they may perform their whole working hours inside great premises without protection measures, without the possibility of keeping the security distance… And after this, they go back to their homes, where they can take the disease with them and therefore infect their family group.

This become even worst when dealing with those working at hospitals, where the lack of proper security means have forced these workers to ask for alternative premises to their lodging in order to avoid the dangers of infect their relatives when coming back home.

This are clear evidences of a society ruled by the most egotistic and hideous interest; a society that cannot be supported for longer.

Against conspiracy theories

PCPE appeals the working class and the whole of our people not to think about the present situation as the cause of a conspiracy theory of any kind.

Conspiracy theories are designed as a mean to hide the class struggle. They try to make us believe that everything is under the control of capitalism and therefore their moguls can take any decision that may directly affect our lives. While is it true that the great capitalist, their governments and their repression systems hold a great power under the present stage of capital dictatorship is it also true that those linked to revolutionary positions cannot succumb to immobilizing determinism.

Capitalism would like to take control over everything, but it´s unable to do so. The inner antagonist contradictions are unsolvable and take its own way of development even when capitalism tries to avoid it. This is a scientific principle, and without it it would be impossible to get ahead with any revolutionary process.

The intervention on these inner contradictions through the use of our materialistic principles – the categories of Marxism-Leninism – allows us to achieve our great strength in front of the capital, and therefore our real chance to defeat it. This added to a bold and rigorous political intervention among the masses.

Capitalism´s final stage

What we are living now is the acutest evidence of the historical capitalist-imperialist system´s exhaustion. The high development reached by production forces is demanding new production relations adjusted to this development, but the actual ruling class – the bourgeoisie – holds against using everything they can, especially a high degree of violence.

These productive forces greatly developed have led to a general internationalization of human activities along with an inner massive trait. Is it not by chance that the acutest health emergency has arisen in Madrid and, as it seems today, also in New York.

The capitalist-imperialist establishment, ruled with an iron hand by the interests of the big monopolies and finance, is unable to provide the mechanisms to give the right answer to the present social conditions. Moreover, its mechanisms work on the opposite direction thus becoming an obstacle.

The current destruction of living conditions around the whole planet as well as the new imperialist wars are also evidences of what we say.

Marx, in the foreword of A contribution to the critique of political economy, stated that at the time when the development of productive forces collide in contradiction with the relations of productions the moment has come to the revolutionary crisis, and to the social revolution.

We are currently seeing the superiority of socialism

In the midst of this international, under pressure, situation we see the brightness and the superiority of the socialist project when placed in front of the decaying, exhausted capitalist system.

On one hand we see China´s capacity for the management the first outbreak of the pandemic, its working procedures, its material resources, its quick answer to the population needs, its technological appliances aimed to the management of the crisis and the use of artificial intelligence and the Big Data that have been so efficient as a mean to establish the limits of damages, all of it reinforced by the strong social conscience of its population, have shown this system superiority in time of giving the right answer to this moment´s challenge.

On the other hand, Internationalist Cuba is going to any place where can be of any help through its human capacities along with its advanced medical technology. They even go to Italy in spite of the fact of Italy being a member of the European Union, thus becoming an accomplice of the blockade imposed on the Cuban Revolution by the yanks.

Socialism push ahead

Socialism gives the correct answer that current times demands. People must open their eyes and their minds to see it.

Working and popular masses´proposal:

Many people from all paths of society is currently saying that the world will never be the same after the pandemic.

But for this world to be better, and not worst, it depends on the initiative to be taken by the working and popular forces. The bourgeoisie will try to adjust to the new conditions its mechanisms for the domination. The working and popular forces, lead by the revolutionary vanguard, must organize their political action from a concrete tactical program aimed to the strategies of the socialist society.

This will be the greatest task. PCPE, that in time of confinement places today its efforts in the ideological battleground in order to unveil the key of present and future events, is currently preparing, for the time the confinement is over, the new stage of offensive in the streets.

We must demand for the assumption of responsibilities for the suffering and hardships placed upon our people and organizing with the working and popular masses the struggle for workers´ power and for the socialist society.

EDITORIAL UNIDAD Y LUCHA APRIL/20.

No existe ninguna solidaridad europea. Puro mito.
