Resolution in Solidarity with Ayotzinapa [En, Es]

The Communist and Workers' Parties gathered at the 16th International Meeting, held in Guayaquil, Ecuador, condemn the brutal repression unleashed against students from the rural teacher’s training school of Ayotzinapa, Guerrero.

We point out that Ayotzinapa is the last link in a long chain of genocide perpetrated by the Mexican State against its opponents, aiming at terrifying and immobilizing the working class and the people of Mexico who show a growing insubordination to monopoly power. We remember that 7 communists of the ranks of PCM were assassinated last year. We denounce the direct responsibility of those who were the executing arm of the slaughter, the PRD, we denounced the political responsibilities of the coalition and characters-including López Obrador, who promoted the governor of Guerrero and the mayor of Iguala when they were candidates, of the block of parties known as the "Pact for Mexico" (PRI, PAN, PRD) that have implemented the anti-people policies and created the paramilitary mechanisms that led to the current situation.

We express our solidarity with the people of Mexico. Ayotzinapa was the drop that spilled the glass that had previously been filled with war and repression, barbaric measures to pass the costs of the crisis on to the working class and the people, such as labor, agricultural, fiscal, energy, etc., counter-reforms. We support the people of Mexico and declare that their slogan to overthrow the current government is legitimate, as well as legitimate are all the forms of struggle they deem necessary to achieve a way out favorable for the popular interests.
