Sudanese Communist Party

Dear Comrades

On behalf of the Sudanese Communist Party and the progressive forces in Sudan, please accept our cordial fraternal greetings and our true wishes for a successful meeting.

We trust that you are aware of the ensuing calamities befallen our country and the unfathomable hardship facing our people.

In this pivotal juncture in our struggle for freedom, peace and justice not only in Sudan, but in many countries around the world, the imperialist warmongers are igniting wars and the suffering of working class and the under trodden masses is getting worse all over the world.

Our people in Sudan are currently striving and fighting against the most ferocious reactionary ideology for the past three and a half decades. Under the fascist regime of the Muslim Brotherhood and its allies, the Sudanese people suffered from horrendous cycles of genocide, ethnic cleansing, war crimes, rape and long detention of political activists and trade unionists, women and students.

The war that Brook out on 15th April 2023 between the militias of Janjaweed, nicknamed Rapid Support Force (RSF), and their surrogate Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF) rendered the capital city of Khartoum to rubbles and waste land. It has resulted in massive destruction of infrastructure, hospitals, factories, houses and people’s dwellings, educational institutions and other civil services.

The same, or even worse situation took place in other places in the country, specifically West and South Darfur, where millions are internally displaced or sought refuge in neighbouring countries.

We call on the fraternal Communist, socialist and workers organisations and peace-loving forces to stand in solidarity with the people of Sudan, exert all possible pressures on their respective countries and urge them to demand an immediate end to this brutal war, and to open safe corridors for urgently needed vital food and medical aid for internally displaced citizens and those stranded within the war-torn zones or in refugee camps.

We call for the strongest condemnation of the two warring factions, Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and Armed Forces (SAF), and their surrogates and financiers, and the deposed Islamic regime’s organisations which still have effective presence within the deep state, holding influential positions in the government apparatus.

We call for exposing and condemning the regional and international powers which are encouraging and financing this brutal war.

Relying on the tenacity and perseverance of the Sudanese people, we believe that this reactionary onslaught, enabled by international imperialism and its regional and local stooges, will resoundingly fail. But we also believe that your support and solidarity will strengthen our steadfast position and relentless struggle.

THERFORE, WE URGENTLY reiterate our call for:

  • The release of all detainees in the custody of both sides.
  • The Abolition of all the draconian laws suppressing freedom.
  • The creation of Safe Corridors to deliver needed aid under the control of trusted bodies (Red Cross, Red Crescent, Doctors Trade Union).
  • Bringing to Justice, all the culprits, from both warring sides, for the Crimes Against Humanity and War Crimes and Genocide committed in Khartoum, Darfur and Kurdufan.
  • The disbanding of all the militias, the Rapid Support Forces (RSF), Islamic movements and other non-military affiliates of the officially-recognised Sudanese Armed Forces (SAF). The arms and military equipment of these factions must be confiscated under the control of a national professional Army within the bounds of the Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration (DDR) procedures.
  • The enforcement of peace settlement and stability in Darfur and other affected areas.
  • The implementation of an Emergency Economic Salvation Programme to address the massive destruction of infrastructure as a result of war and to improve the living conditions of the Sudanese people.
  • Respect of Sudan’s national Sovereignty, by building mutual relations with others, based on equality and common shared interests of respective states, and complete withdrawal from any military pacts and axes, and to preserve and uphold Sudan's historic stance in the international Non-aligned Movement.
  • Supporting the struggle of the Democratic Civil Forces, including our Sudanese Communist Party, the SCP, in their endeavours to build a popular front against war and realign the current trajectory towards the realisation of the noble slogans of December Revolution: Freedom, Peace and Justice, through full civil democratic rule.

Dear Comrades

We seize this opportunity to salute the unwavering struggle of the Palestinian People and their dear sacrifices for a free independent democratic state, and against the despotic Israeli regime of apartheid.

Long live the Solidarity of the progressive forces,

Long live Communism

The Struggle will continue,

And we will prevail.
