Sudanese Security Forces arrest two more leaders

of the Sudanese Communist Party, Fathi Elfadl and Taj Alsir Othman Babu [En]

On the evening of Monday 12^th March 2018, the Sudanese security forces arrested comrades Fathi Elfadl (the media secretary of the party and its official spokesman) and Taj Alsir Othman Babu, member of the party's Central Committee

The two comrades were taken to an unknown destination. Their families are deeply concerned, especially that both comrades suffer from complex medical conditions. Dr. Fathi Elfadl, 74, underwent heart surgery not long ago and suffers from several chronic conditions, including blood pressure and acute inflammation in the middle ear, and had a number of surgeries in recent months. Comrade Taj Alsir suffers from renal failure and had kidney transplant surgery a short while ago. Both are subject to close medical observation.
