12th International Meeting of Communists and Workers Parties
3 rd to 5 th December 2010
Tshwane – South Africa
The 12th International Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties expressed grave concern about the dangerous situation prevailing in the Middle East because of imperialist and Zionist aggression, and noted:
1. That Israel, supported by the United States, continues its crimes against the Palestinian people with killings, the destruction of homes, and ongoing harassment of the population of the occupied territories, seeking to subjugate the Palestinian peoples into stateless, fragmentary communities;
2. US/Israeli fomenting of sectarian tensions in Lebanon through, amongst other things, the politicisation of the Special Tribunal for Lebanon, as a potential prelude to a new civil war to be directed against the National Lebanese Resistance, to take revenge for the defeats inflicted on Israeli occupation forces since 1982, and specifically in 2006;
3. The continued threat to Syria because of its refusal to accept the Israeli policy of expansion and aggression;
4. The continued US and other foreign military presence in Iraq, and the crimes committed by these occupation forces;
5. Recent exposures that once more confirm the US policy of pursuing an agenda to construct a new Middle East, even more securely under the heel of US domination, by weakening national sovereign capacity through fomenting ethnic and sectarian religious divisions in many societies, including Iraq, Lebanon and Yemen.
And, therefore, resolved:
1. To reaffirm our unwavering solidarity with the Palestinian people, to call for the immediate release of political prisoners and detainees, and to support the formation of an independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem/Al Quds as its capital and the right of refugees to return to their homeland;
2. To express solidarity with the resistance of the Lebanese people against the new US/Israeli aggressive project directed against their country;
3. To demand the return of Arab farms in Chebaa and Golan, and the withdrawal of Israeli forces from these territories;
4. To affirm our solidarity with the Iraqi people for the withdrawal of the US and all foreign military forces from Iraq; and
5. To do all in our power to expose and resist the US imperialist agenda in the region.

El 12° Encuentro Internacional de Partidos Comunistas y Obreros expresó una grave preocupación sobre la peligrosa situación que prevalece en Medio Oriente a causa de la agresión imperialista y sionista, y dejó asentado:

1. Que Israel, con apoyo de los Estados Unidos, continúa sus crímenes contra el pueblo palestino con asesinatos, la destrucción de hogares, y hostigando la población de los territorios ocupados, buscando subyugar al pueblo palestino en comunidades fragmentadas y sin Estado;

2. El fomento EEUU/israelí de tensiones sectarias en Líbano a través de, entre otras cosas, la politización del Tribunal Especial para Líbano, como un preludio potencial para una nueva guerra civil dirigida contra la Resistencia Nacional Libanesa, para tomar venganza de las derrotas infligidas a las fuerzas de ocupación israelí desde 1982, y específicamente en 2006;

3. La continua amenaza contra Siria debido a su rechazo a aceptar la política israelí de expansión y agresión;

4. La continua presencia militar estadounidense y extranjera en Irak, y los crímenes cometidos por estas fuerzas de ocupación;

1. Reafirmar nuestra inquebrantable solidaridad con el pueblo palestino, llamar a la liberación inmediata de presos y detenidos políticos, y apoyar la formación de un estado palestino independiente con Jerusalén/Al Quds como su capital y el derecho de los refugiados a regresar a su patria;

2. Expresar solidaridad con la Resistencia del pueblo libanés contra el nuevo proyecto de agresión de EEUU/Israel dirigido contra su país;

3. Demandar la devolución de las granjas árabes en Chebaa y Golán, y la retirada de las fuerzas israelíes de esos territorios;
