The Communist Party USA sends its warmest greetings to the delegates to the Eighth Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba, to take place from April 16 to 19 of this year, to the leaders and members of the Communist Party of Cuba, and to the Cuban people.  

Your Party Congress is taking place at a moment of extraordinary challenges for Cuba and its people.  On top of vicious new economic aggression imposed by the Trump administration in the United States, you, like all other countries, face the terrible Covid 19 epidemic.

As usual, imperialist apologists are predicting a dire fate for Cuban socialism. 

And as always, we in the Communist Party USA are confident that once more, they will be proven wrong.   Again and again, your party and government, as well as the Cuban people, have risen to meet these challenges, and triumphed.  The advances Cuba is achieving in the development of several anti-Covid 19 vaccines, as well as the outstanding work Cuban medical professionals are doing to help people in so many other countries, is raising your prestige higher and higher,  including among very many people here in the United States, the famous “entrañas” de la bestia.

We in the Communist Party USA pledge ourselves once more to renewed efforts to end the blockade and all the other unjust and illegal attacks which our own government has imposed on Cuba for six decades.
