Message of the International Relations Section of the CC of the KKE to the Communist Party of Cuba on the 66th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution

Dear comrades,

On the occasion of the 66th anniversary of the victory of the Cuban Revolution, on 1 January 1959, the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) extends a militant greeting to the Communist Party and the people of Cuba.

The Cuban Revolution has been a timeless source of inspiration for the struggle of the working class and peoples throughout the world, proving that the peoples have the power to overthrow capitalist barbarity through their struggle. It enjoys the sympathy and support of millions of workers around the world, including the Greek people.

The first socialist revolution on the American continent was one of the major events that marked the 20th century. It confirmed the vitality of Marxism-Leninism and proletarian internationalism and brought out leading figures of the revolutionary movement such as Fidel Castro, Che Guevara, Raúl Castro and many others.

Revolutionary power managed to victoriously repulse the attempts of counter-revolution and imperialist aggression and laid the foundations for the satisfaction of popular needs, for social rights that the humble and despised on your continent are deprived of. It supported liberation movements of other peoples in an internationalist, selfless and heroic manner.

Dear comrades,

It is certain that the new Trump administration, like that of Biden, will maintain and tighten the measures of the brutal blockade against Cuba, and escalate aggressive actions aimed at overthrowing the power and achievements of the Cuban people, so it is imperative to strengthen internationalist solidarity with the Cuban Revolution and the Cuban people.

The KKE and KNE will continue condemning the criminal blockade of Cuba by the USA and any aggressive undermining action with all their might, and will further strengthen their concrete internationalist solidarity with Cuba. In particular, we are fighting for the removal of Cuba from the unacceptable list of "state sponsors of terrorism" which poses major obstacles to economic and trade relations.

In a period marked by the heavy consequences of the counter-revolution, when the communist movement continues to face serious difficulties, the Cuban Revolution is one of the milestones for the defence of history and the contribution of the communist movement; for the decisive confrontation with anti-communism and strengthening of proletarian internationalism, thus intensifying the struggle for socialism in every country.

Mensaje de la Sección de Relaciones Internacionales del CC del KKE al Partido Comunista de Cuba en el 66 aniversario de la Revolución Cubana

Estimados compañeros,

Con motivo del 66 aniversario del triunfo de la Revolución Cubana, el 1 de enero de 1959, el KKE dirige un saludo solidario y militante al Partido Comunista y al pueblo de Cuba.

La Revolución Cubana es una fuente intemporal de inspiración para la lucha de la clase obrera y los pueblos de todo el mundo, ha demostrado que los pueblos con su lucha tienen la fuerza para derrocar la barbarie capitalista. Cuenta con la simpatía y el apoyo de millones de trabajadores de todo el mundo, así como del pueblo griego.

La primera revolución socialista en el continente americano fue uno de los grandes acontecimientos que marcaron el siglo XX, confirmó la vitalidad del
marxismo-leninismo y del internacionalismo proletario y sacó a la luz a figuras destacadas del movimiento revolucionario como Fidel Castro, Che Guevara, Raúl Castro y muchos otros.

El poder revolucionario logro rechazar victoriosamente los intentos de la contrarrevolución y la agresión imperialista y sento las bases para la satisfacción de las necesidades populares, para los derechos sociales negados a los humildes y despreciados en su continente. Mostró su internacionalismo con desinterés y sacrificios y apoyo a los movimientos de liberación de otros pueblos.

Queridos compañeros,

Es un hecho que la nueva administración Trump, como la de Biden, mantendrá y fortalecerá las medidas del brutal bloqueo contra Cuba, así como las acciones agresivas dirigidas a derrocar el poder y las conquistas del pueblo cubano, y hoy es imperativo fortalecer la solidaridad internacionalista con la Revolución Cubana y el pueblo cubano.

El KKE y la KNE seguirán condenando con todas sus fuerzas el criminal bloqueo imperialista de EE.UU. contra Cuba y toda acción agresiva y subversiva, y
reforzarán aún más su solidaridad internacionalista práctica con Cuba. En particular, luchamos por la retirada de Cuba de la miserable lista de «estados
patrocinadores del terrorismo» que crea grandes obstáculos en sus relaciones económicas y comerciales.

En un período marcado por las graves consecuencias de la contrarrevolución y en el que el movimiento comunista sigue enfrentándose a serias dificultades, la Revolución Cubana es uno de los hitos para defender la historia y la contribución del movimiento comunista, enfrentarse decisivamente al anticomunismo y reforzar el internacionalismo proletario, fortaleciendo la lucha por el socialismo en cada país.
