No to the transformation of Greece into a base for the massacre in Gaza - Solidarity with the people of Palestine

On Wednesday 25/10 a large number of people, trade unions, associations of the self-employed, student unions and other mass organizations of Attica, demonstrated in the city of Elefsina, condemning the Greek involvement in the massacre in Gaza and the murderous plans of the USA - NATO - EU.

They denounced the transformation of Elefsina into a military base, and in particular the provision of the 112 Combat Wing (Air Force airport) for the US to restation dozens of their military aircraft, transport aircraft, tanker aircraft, etc.

They also expressed their solidarity with the people of Palestine who are fighting for their freedom, their homeland and their state, without Israeli occupation and occupying troops.

Just before the demonstration began, in a symbolic gesture, members of unions and mass organizations arrived outside the 112 Combat Wing, unfurled banners and shouted slogans of solidarity with the Palestinian people and against our country’s involvement in the massacre in Gaza.

Thodoris Chionis, a member of the PB of the CC of the KKE, stated to the media, among others, that “Any facilitation, such as the strategic agreement on the bases, which turns our country into a military base and a target of retaliation, is in complete contradiction with the interests of the Greek people. As is any support for the terrorist state of Israel, which has been murdering the Palestinian people for seven decades.

The slogan “Free Palestine” resonates across the world. The Palestinian people have the right to live in their own free and independent homeland, on the 1967 borders, free of occupation and occupying troops, being masters in their own land and creating the conditions for their liberation from all exploitation and oppression. The massacre in Gaza must immediately stop!”

Греция не должна стать плацдармом для участия в бойне в секторе Газа - Солидарность с народом Палестины

В среду, 25 октября, в городе Элевсина состоялся митинг, в котором приняли участие  рабочие профсоюзы, профессиональные ассоциации, студенческие и другие организации Аттики. Они осудили причастность Греции к бойне в секторе Газа и преступные планы США-НАТО-ЕС.

Они осудили превращение Элевсины в военный плацдарм, в частности, предоставление аэропорта 112-го истребительного крыла греческих ВВС американцам, которые разместят там десятки истребителей, военно-транспортных самолетов, летающих танкеров и т. д.

В то же время они выразили свою солидарность с народом Палестины, который борется за свою свободу, за право иметь свою родину, свое государство без оккупации и оккупационных войск Израиля.

Незадолго до начала митинга члены профсоюзов и организаций символически развернули транспарант у стен 112-го истребительного авиаполка и начали скандировать лозунги солидарности с палестинским народом и против участия нашей страны в бойне в секторе Газа.

Член Политбюро ЦК КПГ Тодорис Хионис среди прочего заявил СМИ:

«Любое содействие Израилю,  как  и стратегическое соглашение с США о военных базах, превращающее нашу страну в военный плацдарм и цель для ответных ударов, находится в полном противоречии с интересами греческого народа. Как и любая поддержка «террористического государства» Израиль, которое убивает палестинский народ на протяжении семи десятилетий.

Лозунг «Свобода Палестине», "Free Palestine" сейчас звучит во всем мире. Палестинский народ имеет право жить на своей свободной, независимой родине  в границах 1967 года без оккупации и оккупационных войск, являясь хозяином своей страны и создавая условия для освобождения от всякой эксплуатации и угнетения. Немедленно остановить бойню в Газе!»

No a la transformación de Grecia en cabeza de puente para la masacre en Gaza – Solidaridad con el pueblo de Palestina

Un gran número de gente, sindicatos obreros y asociaciones de profesionales, de estudiantes y otras organizaciones de Ática manifestaron el miércoles 25 de octubre en la ciudad de Elefsina, condenando la implicación griega en la masacre en Gaza y los planes asesinos de EE.UU-OTAN-UE.

Denunciaron la transformación de Elefsina en una cabeza de puente militar, y en particular la concesión del Ala de Combate 112 en Elefsina (aeropuerto de la Fuerza Aérea) para que los estadounidenses trasladen decenas de sus aviones, aeronaves de transporte militar de apoyo, aviones cisterna, etc.

Además, expresaron su solidaridad con el pueblo de Palestina que lucha por su libertad, por su patria, por su Estado, libre de la ocupación y los tropas de ocupación israelíes.

Poco antes del comienzo de la manifestación, en un gesto simbólico, miembros de sindicatos y organizaciones llegaron fuera del Ala de Combate 112, desplegaron una pancarta y gritaron consignas en solidaridad con el pueblo palestino y contra la implicación de nuestro país en la matanza en Gaza.

Thodoris Chionis, miembro del Buró Político del CC del KKE, dijo a los medios de comunicación entre otras cosas:

“Cualquier facilitación, como el acuerdo estratégico para las bases que convierte a nuestro país en cabeza de puente y en objetivo de represalias, está en plena oposición con los intereses del pueblo griego. Al igual que cualquier apoyo al “Estado-terrorista” de Israel que lleva siete décadas asesinando al pueblo palestino.

El lema “Libertad para Palestina”, “Free Palestine"ya suena en todo el mundo. El pueblo palestino tiene el derecho a vivir en su propia patria, libre, independiente, en las fronteras de 1967, sin ocupación ni tropas de ocupación, dueño de su propio país, y creando las condiciones para librarse de toda explotación y opresión. Que se detenga ya la masacre en Gaza!”

Le mercredi 25 octobre, un grand nombre de personnes, des syndicats et des associations des travailleurs indépendants, des associations d'étudiants et d'autres organisations de masse de l'Attique, ont manifesté dans la ville d'Elefsina, condamnant l'implication de la Grèce dans le massacre de Gaza et les plans meurtriers des États-Unis, de l'OTAN et de l'UE.

Ils ont dénoncé la transformation d'Elefsina en tremplin militaire, et en particulier la concession de la 112e escadre decombat (aéroport de l’armée de l’air) aux Américains pour qu'ils y transfèrent des dizaines de leurs avions militaires, de transports et de ravitailleurs volants, etc.

Ils ont également exprimé leur solidarité avec le peuple de Palestine qui lutte pour sa liberté, pour avoir sa patrie, son État, sans occupation et troupes d'occupation d'Israël.

Juste avant le début de la manifestation, par un geste symbolique, des membres de syndicats et d’associations se sont rendus devant la 112e escadre, ont déployé des banderoles et crié des slogans de solidarité avec le peuple palestinien et contre l'implication de notre pays dans le massacre de Gaza.

Thodoris Chionis, membre du Bureau Politique du CC du KKE, a fait la déclaration suivante aux médias:

"Toute facilitation, telle que l'accord stratégique sur les bases, qui fait de notre pays une base de guerre et une cible de représailles, est en contradiction complète avec les intérêts du peuple grec. Il en va de même pour tout soutien à l'"État terroriste" d'Israël, qui assassine le peuple palestinien depuis sept décennies.

Le slogan : "Liberté pour la Palestine", "Free Palestine" résonne désormais dans le monde entier. Le peuple palestinien a le droit de vivre dans sa propre patrie libre et indépendante, sur les frontières de 1967, sans occupation ni troupes d'occupation; maître de sa propre terre et créant les conditions de sa libération de toute exploitation et oppression. Arrêtez immédiatement le massacre à Gaza!"

 لا لتحويل اليونان لقاعدة انقضاضية من أجل مجزرة غزة – متضامنون مع شعب فلسطين

 تظاهرت جماهير شعبية و نقابات عمالية و جمعيات مهنية و طلابية و منظمات جماهيرية أخرى من مقاطعة أتيكي في مدينة إلفسينا، تنديداً بالتورط اليوناني في المذبحة الجارية في غزة و في خطط الولايات المتحدة وحلف شمال الأطلسي والاتحاد الأوروبي، الإجرامية.

وندد المتظاهرون بتحويل مدينة إلفسينا إلى قاعدة انقضاضية حربية، وعلى وجه التحديد استنكروا تسليم الجناح المقاتل رقم 112 (مطار حربي) ليتمكن الأمريكيون من إعادة تموضع العشرات من طائراتهم المساندة و الناقلة و طائرات صهاريج الوقود و ما شاكلها.

و بالتوازي مع ذلك، أعربوا عن تضامنهم مع شعب فلسطين المكافح من أجل حريته ليمتلك وطنه ودولته الخالية من الاحتلال أو قوى الاحتلال الإسرائيلي.

و ضمن خطوة رمزية قبيل بدء التظاهرة، اقترب أعضاء النقابات والمنظمات الجماهيرية من مقر الجناح المقاتل 112، و نشروا لافتة لهم وهتفوا بشعارات تضامنية مع الشعب الفلسطيني كما وضد تورط بلادنا في مجزرة غزة.

و ذكر ثوذوريس خيونيس، عضو المكتب السياسي للجنة المركزية للحزب الشيوعي اليوناني، في سياق تصريحه لوسائل الإعلام: «إن أي تسهيلات، حالها حال الاتفاق الاستراتيجي بشأن القواعد - الذي يحول بلادنا إلى قاعدة انقضاضية و إلى هدف للقصاص -  تتعارض تماماً مع مصالح الشعب اليوناني. وكذلك، أي دعم يمنح لـ "الدولة الإرهابية" إسرائيل التي تقتل الشعب الفلسطيني منذ سبعة عقود إلى الآن.

إن شعار الحرية لفلسطين "Free Palestine" يُسمعُ الآن في جميع أنحاء العالم. للشعب الفلسطيني الحق في أن يعيش في وطنٍ حرٍّ، مستقل على حدود عام 1967، خالٍ من الاحتلال و قوى الاحتلال العسكري، سيداً في وطنه مع تهيئته الظروف لتحرره من كل استغلال واضطهاد. فلتتوقف الآن المذبحة الجارية في غزة!».
