About the unjustified imprisonment and abuse of the Kononovich brothers by the Ukrainian government

The KKE raised in the Greek Parliament the issue of the unjustified arrest, imprisonment, and abuse of the First Secretary of the Leninist Communist Youth Union of Ukraine, Mikhail Kononovich, and his brother, Aleksander, by the Ukrainian government, in the form of a Question to the Foreign Minister.

The full Question signed by the KKE MPs Giorgos Marinos, Nikos Papanastasis, and Thanasis Pafilis reads as follows: 

“In early March 2022, the Ukrainian government proceeded with the unjustified arrest, imprisonment, and abuse of the First Secretary of the Leninist Communist Youth Union of Ukraine, Mikhail Kononovich, and his brother, Aleksander. Their lives are under threat. 

This unacceptable and provocative action is a continuation of the policy of repression and anti-communism by the Ukrainian governments, which banned the communist ideology and the Communist Party of Ukraine in 2014, following the US-NATO-EU imperialist intervention in the country, persecuting the Communists and other militants who oppose the anti-popular policy. 

At the same time, fascist, neo-Nazi gangs —such as the Azov Battalion— that have committed and continue to commit heinous crimes, are acting under the responsibility of the Ukrainian government as part of the Ukrainian army, police, and other state structures against the people of the country. 

These events highlight the enormous responsibilities born by the President of Ukraine, V. Zelenskiy, who is invited by the Greek government to address the Parliament on 7 April. 

The Minister is asked: What is the position of the government on the unjustified imprisonment and abuse of the First Secretary of the Leninist Communist Youth Union of Ukraine, Mikhail Kononovich, and his brother, Aleksander, and the demand for their immediate release?

SOBRE LA DETENCIÓN Y EL ABUSO INJUSTIFICADOS DE LOS HERMANOS KONONOVICH POR PARTE DEL GOBIERNO UCRANIANO

El asunto de la detención y el abuso injustificados del Primer Secretario de la Unión de la Juventud Comunista Leninista de Ucrania, Mikhail Kononovich, y de su hermano, Aleksander, por el gobierno ucraniano, fue planteado en el Parlamento griego por el KKE en forma de Pregunta al ministro de Asuntos Exteriores.

El texto de la Pregunta que fue suscrito por los diputados del Partido, Giorgos Marinos, Nikos Papanastasis y Thanasis Pafilis, es el siguiente:

“A principios del marzo de 2022, el gobierno ucraniano detuvo, encarceló y abusó  injustificadamente al Primer Secretario de la Unión de la Juventud Comunista Leninista de Ucrania, Mikhail Kononovich, y su hermano, Aleksander, y sus vidas están en peligro.

Esta acción inaceptable y provocativa se produce a raíz de la política de represión y de anticomunismo de los gobiernos ucranianos que prohibieron la ideología comunista y el Partido Comunista de Ucrania en 2014, después de la intervención imperialista de EE.UU., la OTAN y la UE en dicho país, persiguiendo a los comunistas y los demás luchadores que resisten a la política antipopular.

Al mismo tiempo, bandas fascistas, neonazis, como el Batallón Azov, que han cometido y siguen cometiendo crímenes atroces, bajo la responsabilidad del gobierno ucraniano actúan como parte del ejército, de la policía y otras estructuras estatales de Ucrania contra el pueblo del país.

Estos acontecimientos destacan las enormes responsabilidades del presidente ucraniano, V.Zelenski, a quien el gobierno griego ha invitado a dirigirse al parlamento el día 7 de abril.

SE PREGUNTA el señor ministro ¿cuál es la posición del gobierno sobre la detención y el abuso injustificados del Primer Secretario de la Unión de la Juventud Comunista Leninista de Ucrania, Mikhail Kononovich, y de su hermano, Aleksander, y cuál es su posición ante de la demanda de su liberación inmediata?”

Për burgosjen dhe abuzimin e pashkak të vëllezërve Kononovich nga qeveria ukrainase

Çështjen e arrestimit, burgosjen dhe abuzimin e pashkak të Sekretarit të Parë të Unionit të Rinisë Komuniste Leniniste të Ukrainës, Mihail Kononovich, dhe vëllait të tij, Aleksander, nga qeveria ukrainase, çoj në Parlamentin Grek Partia Komuniste e Greqisë (KKE) në formën e pyetjes drejtuar Ministrit të Jashtëm të Greqisë.

Teksti i detajuar i Pyetjes, i firmosur nga deputetët e Partisë Jorgo Marinos, Niko Papanastasis dhe Thanasi Pafilis:

«Në fillim të muajit Mars 2022, qeveria ukrainase arrestoi, burgosi ​​dhe abuzoi pa asnjë shkak Sekretarin e Parë të Unionit të Rinisë Komuniste Leniniste të Ukrainës, Mihail Kononovich dhe vëllain e tij, Aleksandrin, dhe jeta e tyre kërcënohet.

Ky veprim i papranueshëm dhe provokues është vazhdim i politikës së represionit dhe antikomunizmit të qeverive ukrainase që ndaluan ideologjinë komuniste dhe Partinë Komuniste të Ukrainës në vitin 2014, pas ndërhyrjes imperialiste të SHBA-NATO-BE në këtë shtet, duke persekutuar komunistët dhe militantët e tjerë që i rezistojnë politikës antipopullore.

Në të njëjtën kohë, bandat fashiste, neo-naziste - si batalioni Azof - të cilat kanë kryer dhe po kryejnë krime të tmerrshme, po veprojnë nën përgjegjësinë e qeverisë ukrainase si pjesë e ushtrisë, policisë dhe strukturave të tjera shtetërore të Ukrainës, kundër popullit të Ukrainës.

Përmes këtyre ngjarjeve dalin në pah përgjegjësitë e mëdha të Presidentit ukrainas V. Zelenski, të cilin qeveria e ka ftuar t'i drejtohet Parlamentit Grek më 7 prill.

PYETET z. ministër, cili është qëndrimi i qeverisë për burgosjen dhe abuzimin e pashkak të Sekretarit të Parë të Unionit të Rinisë Komuniste Leniniste të Ukrainës, Mihail Kononovich, dhe vëllait të tij, Aleksandër, dhe si i përgjigjet kërkesës për lirimin e tyre të menjëhershëm?».
