The developments increase the dangers of generalized military conflicts to the peoples’ detriment

In a statement on the tension in US-China relations, the Press Office of the CC of the KKE stresses the following:

“The recent visit of the Speaker of the US House of Representatives to Taiwan, the deployment of US military forces, and the overall tension in the Indo-Pacific are links in the chain of the dangerous US-China competition for supremacy in the global capitalist system.

These developments, in combination with the imperialist war between NATO and Russia in Ukraine, increase the dangers of generalized military conflicts to the peoples’ detriment and highlight the necessity of intensifying the popular struggle for the elimination of the causes of imperialist wars and the disengagement of Greece from the dangerous US-NATO plans.”
