CPI Congratulates People for Rejecting BJP

The National Secretariat of the Communist Party of India issued the following statement today (on May 3, 2021) congratulating the people for rejecting BJP and its policies:

The National Secretariat of the Communist Party of India congratulates the people for rejecting BJP and its policies in the recent elections.

The Party congratulates the people of Kerala for the historic verdict they have given to LDF. This is a recognition of the pro-people policies and measures implemented by the LDF government.

The National Secretariat also congratulates the people of Tamil Nadu for electing DMK led government. The people have rejected AIADMK which has been aligning with BJP. Verdict of Tamil Nadu people is important in the context of upholding principles of secularism and social justice.

The Party also notes with satisfaction the results in West Bengal where all out attempts by BJP to capture power were thwarted.

However, in Assam and Puducherry the BJP with money power and help of government machinery managed to capture power.

The CPI general secretary D. Raja congratulated over phone Kerala chief minister Pinarayi Vijayan and DMK leader M K Stalin for the spectacular victory. He also conveyed message of greetings to Ms. Mamta Banerjee for defeating BJP in West Bengal.
