The Left and Democratic parties of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh is gearing up for the forthcoming assembly elections. To began with the seven parties, have formed “Rajasthan Democratic Front” on the basis of mutual election understanding to defeat BJP led Vasudhara government and anti-people policies of Modi government and its hand in glove policies with RSS.
The Communist Party of India National Secretary Atul Kumar Anjaan said that a state level convention of seven of the parties including CPI, CPI (M), Samajwadi Party, Janata Dal (Secular), CPI (ML), Rashtriya Lok Dal and MCPI held recently in Jaipur, inaugurated by former prime minister H.D. Deve Gowda. The parties of LDF are now engaged in identifying the assembly constituencies. The Communist Party of India has chosen 42 seats, CPI (M) – 35 seats and other parties is engaged in finalising and it will be announced jointly by the front.
CPI leader Atul Kumar Anjaan further said that in Madhya Pradesh the communist parties are in consultation with other anti-BJP–RSS parties to have a joint front and very soon state level convention will be organised. Meanwhile a fist list of 19 seats by CPI and 26 seats by CPI (M) is identified to contest the coming assembly elections.
