Statement from the Communist Party of Ireland in Solidarity with the TKP
The Communist Party of Ireland salutes the courage of the Communist Party of Turkey and the Turkish working class as they have demonstrated against attempts by the government to close down avenues of protest. We strongly condemn the arrests of members of the TKP as a move by the Turkish government to restrict the ability of the TKP to organise politically. We stand with our comrades in the TKP. We call on the Irish Government to condemn the arrests.
