Hands Off Venezuela: CP Pakistan Condemns U.S. $50 Million Bounty on President Maduro

The Communist Party of Pakistan strongly condemns the U.S. government’s imperialist provocation of placing a $50 million bounty on Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro under the charges of “narco-terrorism.” This all time record high reward is a blatant attempt to destabilize a sovereign nation and install a U.S.-backed puppet regime.

While the CPP has political disagreements with the Venezuelan government particularly over its actions against the Communist Party of Venezuela we affirm that no foreign power, least of all U.S. imperialism, has any right to interfere in Venezuela’s internal affairs. The right to determine Venezuela’s future belongs solely to its people, not to Washington’s political and corporate elite and their lackeys.

This move comes alongside years of sanctions, economic warfare, and war propaganda designed to strangle the people of Venezuela . We call on all anti-imperialist and democratic forces in Pakistan and around the world to reject this act of political gangsterism and stand in defense of the people of Venezuela.
