The ruling class of Pakistan along with the military leadership which has become a class itself, have nothing to offer to common people on their issues and problems. These classes usually smack each-other over their own group interests and resolve issues together. The civilian ruling class uses the common people to show its power. For this, our politicians may mention "people" once in their speeches to covetously placate the masses. The common man gets nothing but only empty promising speeches. Where, the might of the establishment is the gun in its hand. This was stated by the Secretary-General of the Communist Party of Pakistan, Comrade Imdad Qazi while addressing various meetings with the party and other left-wing workers during his visit to Gilgit-Baltistan ,KP , Balochistan and Punjab . He also grieved the price hikes of medicines, and other commodity items like electricity, oil, gas, sugar, flour and all other edible goods which are increased on a daily basis and now these items are almost out of reach for the common people. Severe load-shedding/power cuts of electricity and gas has made lives difficult for each and every household. These prevailing circumstances have led the people to economical bankruptcy. Unemployment and inflation have even very badly affected the white-collar middle class and is pushed into poverty. The ever increasing numbers of enforced disappearances and mutilated dead bodies of political and human rights activists from Balochistan, Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh, is an alarming situation . The peaking violence against women has become a routine, but the ruling classes do not care about the endurance of the poor majority public. Whether it be All-Parties conferences or meetings with military Generals, the question of how to get the people out of this predicament is never on the agenda. Though the democracy and rule of law are very important for the country, human life is more important than any of those. The emancipation of the general public, especially the working class, the daily wagers, the peasants and the farm laborers and the middle class from all these problems can only be achieved in a socialist system, for which a socialist revolution is inevitable and we have to prepare for it. For which, the people themselves, will have to struggle against unemployment, privatization, hunger, poverty, inflation, expensive educational and medical systems. During this struggle against the ruling classes, a new leadership of masses will emerge from within the self. When the people themselves raise their voices for their problems, only then the ruling classes pay attention to them and make people's problems part of the agenda for consideration.

While commenting on the party's position on making Gilgit-Baltistan the fifth province of Pakistan, Comrade Imdad Qazi said that according to historical facts, the issue of Gilgit-Baltistan is inter-linked with the Kashmir issue. According to the context of agreements between Pakistan and India with the United Nations, none of these countries solely hold any decisive authority. Whereas , we must understand that the United Nations is nothing but the debating club of imperialist powers. It seems that ruling classes of both India and Pakistan have entered into an unjust-division agreement under the aegis of the United States in order to fulfill their old desire to occupy Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan, for which reason this drama is displayed . The ruling classes of both sides are less bothered about the issues and problems of their citizens, but are more interested about annexing disputed areas to the respective countries for obvious reasons to plunder the resources of the region. The people of these areas should be given the right to make their own decisions freely. However, ironically it is also a crime to protest for their local issues. The real ruling forces on the Gilgit's administration and the judiciary, have sentenced Baba Jan , a left political and human rights activist to 70 years in prison just for holding a protest and icing on the cake is that the Supreme Court Appellate has upheld this unjust and cruel sentence. The Communist Party considers this sentence a disgrace to the judiciary and demands the immediate release of Comrade Baba Jan.
Comrade Imdad Qazi further said that our party condemns the participation of political leadership in the GHQ meeting convened by non-political forces on this issue in Pakistan. Power-hungry politicians who accept and validate the interference of non-political institutions in politics are responsible for taking the country's politics hostage. It is the high time for democratic forces to fight against this synergy of politicians and non-political institutions.
