The Communist Party of Swaziland (CPS) sends great wishes to the people of Namibia and the South West Africa People’s Organisation (SWAPO) on the national elections underway today. The CPS stands firmly in support of the progressive outlook of the people of Namibia as led by SWAPO Party.

SWAPO Party has since independence been a good example of a liberation movement which continued to serve the people towards economic prosperity and national sovereignty. The CPS calls upon all the various progressive forces in the Southern African region to unite in the interest of developing the sovereign economies of the various states. The fight for national and African sovereignty and against imperialism must necessarily involve an unapologetic opposition to backward and oppressive regimes, such as the Mswati autocracy, whose corruption in fact aid the penetration of imperialism in Africa.
