It will be co-organized by the TKP and the KKE.
On the 8th of June in Izmir, Turkey, the meeting of the Working Group of the International Communist and Workers' Meeting, who met to discuss issues for the organization of this year's 21st International Meeting, was concluded.
In total, delegations from the following 25 parties took part in the meeting: Communist Party of Brazil, Communist Party of China, Communist Party of Cuba, AKEL, Communist Party of Bohemia & Moravia, Communist Party of Greece, Hungarian Workers Party, Communist Party of India, Communist Party of India (Marxist), Tudeh Party of Iran, Workers Party of Korea, Lebanese Communist Party, Nepal Communist Party, Palestinian Communist Party, Portuguese Communist Party, Communist Party of the Russian Federation, Communist Party of Spain, South African Communist Party, Communist Party of Turkey, Communist Party of Ukraine, Communist Party of Vietnam, Communist Party of the Workers of Spain, Syrian Communist Party (the Unified), Communist Party Italy, French Communist Party.
The meeting decided that the next 21st International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties (IMCWP) will be held in Izmir and organized jointly by the Communist Party of Turkey and the Communist Party of Greece. The theme of the 21st IMCWP was defined to be the following: "100th Anniversary of the founding of the Communist International. The fight for peace and socialism continues!”
It was also decided to organize a solidarity mission of the Communist and Workers’ Parties to Syria, while in the coming days four solidarity resolutions with the peoples and the parties of Iran, Syria, Sudan and Poland will be published.
