Figuera: PCV Congress will deepen the line of broad unity to confront the government's surrenderist policy

Caracas, 10-31-2022 - The XVI National Congress of the Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) "will deepen the line of broad unity of action of the workers-union and popular movement to confront the aggressions of imperialism and the surrenderist policies of the government elite that, in alliance with capital, develops against our people and in favor of the national and transnational monopoly groups," said this Monday the Secretary General of the Central Committee of the PCV, Oscar Figuera. 

This Thursday, November 3, the highest leadership body of the Venezuelan communists will meet. Figuera extended the invitation to the workers and popular movement to participate in the Act of Public Installation to be held at 3:00 pm in the facilities of the Cantaclaro Theater. 

"The whole statutory process has been successfully completed: the Cell Conferences, the Local Conferences and the Regional Conferences; the discussion of the base documents; the election of the effective delegates; the designation of the fraternal delegates", he said in the usual press conference of the Red Rooster party. 

Figuera informed that there will also be a tribute to three distinguished communist leaders in the centenary of their births: Jerónimo Carrera, Emigdio Cañizález Guédez and Trino Meleán. 

The prelude to the 16th National Congress of the PCV will be the III International Ideological Seminar "The contemporary ideological struggle and the central vanguard role of the proletariat as a revolutionary subject in capitalism". The seminar will be held this Wednesday, November 2 at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the PCV and will include presentations by 15 international organizations that will meet in Caracas. 

"This is a contribution to the general policy of the international revolutionary movement" organized by the Institute of Higher Studies Bolivar Marx, said Figuera.

Communist Parties send message of solidarity to the Venezuelan working class 

A strong expression of solidarity was received by the Venezuelan working class and the PCV at the XXII International Meeting of the Communist and Workers Parties (EIPCO) that took place in Havana, Cuba, this weekend. 

In this meeting "it was possible to develop different levels of exchange, discussion and even agreements", detailed Figuera. 

"A concrete expression of this effort is an agreement of solidarity with the struggles of the Venezuelan people and with the Communist Party of Venezuela signed by more than 40 organizations from all over the world," he added. 

After reading the declaration signed by more than half of the parties attending the XII EIPCO, the Secretary General of the PCV expressed his gratitude for this statement and pointed out: "we are going to continue fighting, resisting and defeating". 

Irregularities in the border with Guyana and threats against fishermen in Sucre

"We express our concern for what is happening in the south of Bolivar state; small and medium miners denounce their expulsion from the territory where they work, under unclear circumstances and with the presence of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces", informed Figuera. 

"The National Government must inform what is happening; furthermore, there are movements on the border on the side of the Cooperative Republic of Guyana" and "it is important to have an integral context to be alert before situations that may complicate the peace in that zone", he added. 

On the other hand, the PCV expressed its solidarity with the artisan fishing workers in the Arismendi municipality of Sucre state, where protest actions took place recently. 

"We want to denounce that this legitimate action of the fishermen of Morro de Puerto Santo is being misrepresented by the Mayor of the Municipality, José Macondo Guerra, who threatens the struggling fishermen," said the PCV leader. 

"We hold the mayor responsible for any situation of repression against the communist militancy or the fishermen involved in the protests", he added.

Four years since the assassination of Luis Fajardo

This Monday, October 31, marks four years since the vile assassination of communist leader Luis Fajardo, militant of the peasant movement, Agrarian Secretary of the PCV in the state of Merida and member of the Central Committee. 

Fajardo was murdered together with peasant activist Javier Aldana when he was returning from a day linked to the organizational processes of more than 300 peasant families who were demanding the National Government and the National Land Institute to hand over the lands of the Fundo Caño Rico in Sur del Lago. 

In this crime participated "hired killers connected to landowners, officials and political members of the government party", explained Figuera. 

The PCV sent a message to the Attorney General, Tarek William Saab to demand justice and an end to impunity. 

"It is not only the case of Luis Fajardo, there are other cases that we have denounced of communist militants murdered in Aragua, Táchira and Apure", denounced Figuera.

Elections in Brazil

The PCV welcomed the electoral results in Brazil that gave the victory to Luis Ignacio Lula Da Silva. However, the Political Bureau pointed out that "it will be the struggles of the Brazilian people that will be able to definitively determine a revolutionary course for that country." 

"The level of alliances that we know of the government that has just been elected - in themselves - do not guarantee a process of revolutionary transformation. The Brazilian people will be able to count on the support and solidarity of the PCV in these struggles", he affirmed.

81st anniversary of the birth of the people's singer

On the 81st anniversary of the birth of Alí Primera "we are sure that today he would be singing to the struggles of the Venezuelan people; that he would be accompanying the struggles of the Venezuelan working class for wages, social rights, collective bargaining agreements; for the right to true sovereignty and against ecocides", concluded Figuera.

Figuera: Congreso del PCV profundizará la línea de amplia unidad para enfrentar la política entreguista del Gobierno 

Caracas, 31-10-2022 (Redacción TP).- El XVI Congreso Nacional del Partido Comunista de Venezuela (PCV) “profundizará la línea de amplia unidad de acción del movimiento obrero-sindical y popular para enfrentar las agresiones del imperialismo y las políticas entreguistas de la élite gobernante que, en alianza con el capital, desarrolla en contra de nuestro pueblo y en favor de los grupos monopólicos nacionales y transnacionales”, dijo este lunes el Secretario General del Comité Central del PCV, Oscar Figuera. 

Este jueves 03 de noviembre se reúne la máxima instancia de dirección de las y los comunistas venezolanos. Figuera extendió la invitación al movimiento obrero y popular para participar en el Acto de Instalación Pública que se celebrará a las 3:00 pm en las instalaciones del Teatro Cantaclaro. 

“Todo el proceso estatutario se ha cumplido exitosamente: las Conferencias de Célula, las Conferencias Locales y las Conferencias Regionales; la discusión de los documentos base; la elección de las y los delegados efectivos; la designación de las y los delegados fraternales”, dijo en la habitual rueda de prensa del partido del Gallo Rojo. 

Figuera informó que además se realizará un homenaje a tres insignes dirigentes comunistas en el centenario de sus nacimientos: Jerónimo Carrera, Emigdio Cañizález Guédez y Trino Meleán. 

La antesala al 16 Congreso Nacional del PCV será el III Seminario Ideológico Internacional “La lucha ideológica contemporánea y el papel central de vanguardia del proletariado como sujeto revolucionario en el capitalismo”. La jornada se desarrollará este miércoles 02 de noviembre en la sede del Comité Central del PCV y contará con ponencias de 15 organizaciones internacionales que se darán cita en Caracas.

Partidos Comunistas envían mensaje de solidaridad a la clase trabajadora venezolana

Una contundente muestra de solidaridad recibió la clase trabajadora venezolana y el PCV en el XXII Encuentro Internacional de los Partidos Comunistas y Obreros (EIPCO) que se realizó en La Habana, Cuba, este fin de semana. 

En este encuentro “fue posible desarrollar distintos niveles de intercambio, discusión e incluso de acuerdos”, detalló Figuera. 

“Una expresión concreta de este esfuerzo es un acuerdo de solidaridad con las luchas del pueblo venezolano y con el Partido Comunista de Venezuela suscrito por más de 40 organizaciones de todo el mundo”, agregó. 

Tras leer la declaración firmada por más de la mitad de los partidos asistentes al XII EIPCO, el Secretario General del PCV agradeció este pronunciamiento y apuntó: “vamos a seguir luchando, resistiendo y venciendo”. 

Irregularidades en la frontera con Guyana y amenazas contra pescadores en Sucre

“Expresamos nuestra preocupación por lo que acontece en el sur del estado Bolívar; pequeños y medianos mineros denuncian su expulsión del territorio en el que trabajan, bajo circunstancias poco claras y con la presencia de la Fuerza Armada Nacional Bolivariana”, informó Figuera. 

“El Gobierno Nacional debe informar qué pasa; además se están dando movimientos en la frontera del lado de la República Cooperativa de Guyana” y “es importante tener un contexto integral para estar alertas ante situaciones que puedan complicar la paz de esa zona”, agregó. 

Por otra parte, el PCV manifestó su solidaridad con los trabajadores de la pesca artesanal en el municipio Arismendi del estado Sucre, donde recientemente se dieron acciones de protesta. 

“Queremos denunciar que esa acción legitima de las y los pescadores del Morro de Puerto Santo está siendo tergiversada por el Alcalde del Municipio, José Macondo Guerra, quien amenaza a los pescadores que luchan”, dijo el dirigente del PCV. 

“Hacemos responsable al alcalde de cualquier situación de represión contra la militancia comunista o los pescadores involucrados en las protestas”, agregó.

Cuatro años del asesinato de Luis Fajardo

Este lunes 31 de octubre se cumplen cuatro años del vil asesinato del dirigente comunista Luis Fajardo, militante del movimiento campesino, Secretario Agrario del PCV en el estado Mérida y miembro del Comité Central. 

Fajardo fue asesinado junto al activista campesino Javier Aldana cuando regresaba de una jornada vinculada a los procesos organizativos de más de 300 familias campesinas que exigían al Gobierno Nacional y al Instituto Nacional de Tierras la entrega de las tierras del Fundo Caño Rico en Sur del Lago. 

En este crimen participaron “sicarios vinculados a terratenientes, funcionarios y cuadros políticos del partido de gobierno”, explicó Figuera. 

El PCV envió un mensaje al Fiscal General, Tarek William Saab para exigir justicia y cese a la impunidad. 

“No es nada más el caso de Luis Fajardo, hay otros casos que hemos denunciado de militantes comunista asesinados en Aragua, Táchira y Apure”, denunció Figuera.

Elecciones en Brasil

El PCV saludó los resultados electorales en Brasil que dieron por ganador a Luis Ignacio Lula Da Silva. Sin embargo, el Buró Político señaló que “serán las luchas del pueblo brasileño las que podrán determinar definitivamente un curso revolucionario para ese país”. 

“El nivel de alianzas que conocemos del gobierno que acaba de ser electo -en sí mismas- no garantizan un proceso de transformación revolucionaria. El pueblo brasileño podrá contar en esas luchas con el apoyo y la solidaridad del PCV”, afirmó.

81 años del natalicio del cantor del pueblo

En el 81° aniversario del nacimiento de Alí Primera “estamos seguros y seguras que hoy estuviera cantando a las luchas del pueblo venezolano; que estuviera acompañando las luchas de la clase trabajadora venezolana por salarios, derechos sociales, convenciones colectivas; por el derecho a la verdadera soberanía y contra los ecocidios”, finalizó Figuera.
