PCV: Policy of criminalization of workers intensifies

 The Communist Party of Venezuela (PCV) questioned the process that led to the recent sentencing to 16 years in prison of six social and union activists, among them the president of the Federation of Tribunal Workers and member of the Confederation of Autonomous Unions of Venezuela (Codesa).

 "The defense lawyer and their relatives point out that these citizens were accused of leading conspiratorial actions without supporting evidence", declared Maribell Diaz, member of the Political Bureau of the PCV.

 The procedure followed undermines the strength of the decision. Independently of the political orientation of these six activists, the PCV rejects the violations to the due process in this case", added Díaz.

 The PCV expressed its concern for the worsening of the policy of criminalization of workers and the continued violation of the Constitution by the public authorities.

 "And the fact is that the violation of the Constitution is at all levels; today, for example, it is being suffered by the workers of the educational sector, by receiving a devaluated vacation bonus, thanks to the nefarious memorandum 2792 and the Onapre's instructions, which are violently imposed on the workers", said Diaz.

 Diaz also referred to the recent declarations of the Governor of Trujillo state, Gerardo Marquez, who urged the militancy of the Government party to expel with violence any person who opposes the policies of the government.

 "The Attorney General should activate an investigation since this detracts from the democratic conduct that must characterize a governor, as well as any state official", he said.

 On the other hand, the PCV informed that last August 2, the member organizations of the National Meeting in Defense of the People's Rights, stationed themselves in front of the Office of the Comptroller General of the Republic to demand a timely response to the embezzlement of the oil industry and the participation of high ranking government officials, among them Manuel Quevedo, Asdrúbal Chávez and Tarek El Aissami.

 86th Anniversary of the First National Conference of the PCV

 The Political Bureau thanked the numerous national and international expressions of solidarity that continue to arrive in rejection of the judicial maneuver of the Government of Nicolás Maduro to take by assault the Communist Party of Venezuela.

 "We insist before the national public opinion and, in particular before the TSJ, that the action for constitutional protection, presented by mercenaries at the service of the Government-PSUV is a reckless action since it has no foundation, reason or motive whatsoever and furthermore it is promoted by citizens who are not militants of the Communist Party of Venezuela and therefore, without any legitimacy to intervene in the internal life of the PCV", explained Diaz.

 Finally, Diaz informed that next Saturday, August 12, an event will be held at the Cantaclaro Theater in Caracas for the 86th anniversary of the holding of the First National Conference of the Communist Party of Venezuela and the centenary of the birth of the distinguished communist leader and martyr, Alberto Lovera.

 "In spite of the plan to assault the PCV; usurp its legal status and deliver it to the misery of a cohort of mercenaries and political traffickers, we communists will continue to develop our agenda of struggle. Today, as 86 years ago, we continue to show our face", he concluded.

PCV: Se agudiza política de criminalización de los trabajadores

 El Partido Comunista de Venezuela (PCV) cuestionó el proceso que condujo a la reciente sentencia a 16 años de cárcel de seis activistas sociales y sindicales entre los que se encuentra el presidente de la Federación de Trabajadores Tribunalicios y miembro de la Confederación de Sindicatos Autónomos de Venezuela, (Codesa).

 “El abogado defensor y sus familiares señalan que estos ciudadanos fueron acusados de dirigir acciones conspirativas sin pruebas que lo sustenten”, declaró Maribell Díaz, integrante del Buró Político del PCV.

 El procedimiento seguido le resta fortaleza a la decisión. Independiente de la orientación política de estos seis activistas, el PCV rechaza las violaciones al debido proceso en este caso”, agregó Díaz.

 El PCV manifestó su preocupación por la agudización de la política de criminalización de trabajadores y la continuada violación de la Constitución por parte de los poderes públicos.

 “Y es que la violación de la Constitución es en todos los niveles; hoy, por ejemplo, la sufren los trabajadores del sector educativo, al percibir un bono vacacional devaluado, gracias al nefasto memorando 2792 y al instructivo de la Onapre, que se imponen de manera violenta sobre los trabajadores”, apuntó Díaz.

Díaz también se refirió a las recientes declaraciones del Gobernador del estado Trujillo, Gerardo Márquez, quien instó a la militancia del partido de Gobierno a expulsar con violencia a cualquier persona que adverse la política del gobierno.

 “El Fiscal General debería activar una investigación pues esto desdice la conducta democrática que debe caracterizar a un gobernador, así como a cualquier funcionario del Estado”, dijo.

 Por otro lado, el PCV informó que el pasado 2 de agosto, las organizaciones integrantes del Encuentro Nacional en Defensa de los Derecho del Pueblo, se apostaron ante la Contraloría General de la República para exigir una respuesta oportuna ante el desfalco a la industria petrolera y la participación de altos funcionarios de la cúpula de gobierno, entre ellos Manuel Quevedo, Asdrúbal Chávez y Tarek El Aissami.

86 aniversario de la Primera Conferencia Nacional del PCV

 El Buró Político agradeció las numerosas muestras de solidaridad nacional e internacional que siguen llegando en rechazo a la maniobra judicial del Gobierno de Nicolás Maduro para tomar por asalto al Partido Comunista de Venezuela.

 “Insistimos ante la opinión pública nacional y, en particular ante el TSJ, que la acción de amparo constitucional, presentada por mercenarios al servicio del Gobierno-PSUV es una actuación temeraria pues carece de fundamento, razón o motivo alguno y además es promovida por ciudadanos que no son militantes del Partido Comunista de Venezuela y por lo tanto, sin legitimación alguna para intervenir en la vida interna del PCV”, explicó Díaz.

 Finalmente, Díaz informó que el próximo sábado 12 de agosto se celebrará en el Teatro Cantaclaro de Caracas un acto por el 86° aniversario de la realización de la Primera Conferencia Nacional del Partido Comunista de Venezuela y el centenario del natalicio del insigne dirigente y mártir comunista, Alberto Lovera.

 “A pesar del plan para asaltar al PCV; usurpar su personería jurídica y entregarlo a la miseria de una cohorte de mercenarios y traficantes de la política, las y los comunistas continuaremos desarrollando nuestra agenda de lucha. Hoy, como hace 86 años, seguimos dando la cara”, concluyó.
