Solidarity with the Lebanese people

The Comunist Party of Venezuela expresses its solidarity with the historical demonstrations of the Lebanese people in rejection to the application, by the government, of a package of austerity measures that intend to charge on the backs of the Lebanese workers all the weight of the capitalist crisis and the governmental corruption.   

The Lebanese government attempt to impose new taxes on the pockets of the workers, as part of the requirement of the international financial organism,which have caused an energetic popular reaction against all the economical and political order who is systematically responsible of  depriving the people of their fundamental rights, aggravate more and more their life conditions and deepening social inequaleties. 

We support the lebanese popular movement and their struggles, that since 17 october have paralyzed the entire country, taken over the streets and with big movilizations and protests, to demand their legitimate rights, require the resignation of a corrupted government and call for democratic transformations. 

From PCV, we condemn the government repression against popular demonstrations and we express our solidarity with the Lebanese Comunist Party and its struggles alongside the Lebanese workers and popular strata.

 Solidaridad con el pueblo del Líbano

El PCV expresa su solidaridad con las históricas demostraciones del pueblo libanes en rechazo a la aplicación, por parte del gobierno, de un paquete de medidas de austeridad que pretende cargar en sus espaldas de los trabajadores libaneses todo el peso de la crisis capitalista y la corrupción gubernamental. 

Los intentos del Gobierno del Líbano de imponer nuevos impuestos a los bolsillos de los trabajadores, como parte de las exigencias de organismos financieros internacionales, ha provocado una enérgica reacción popular contra todo un orden político y económico que le priva sistemáticamente  de sus derechos fundamentales, deteriorando cada vez más sus condiciones de vida y profundiza las desigualdad social. 

Acompañamos las luchas del movimiento popular en Líbano, que desde el 17 octubre han paralizado el país, con tomas de calles y grandes movilizaciones, para exigir sus legítimos derechos, demandar la renuncia de un gobierno corrupto y reclamar transformaciones democráticas.

Desde el PCV, Condenamos la represión ejercida contra las legítimas manifestaciones populares, y expresamos nuestra solidaridad con el Partido Comunista Libanes y su lucha al lado de los trabajadores y sectores populares del Líbano.
