Press Conference: The PCV is in the streets to confront the anti-popular policies of the Maduro government

Caracas, 16-01-2023 (TP Newsroom) - "The PCV is in the streets, fighting for the construction of the broadest unity of action to confront the offensive of capital and its allies in Miraflores," affirmed Janohi Rosas, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Venezuela, during a press conference this Monday.

The statements coincided with a new national day of protest by the education workers, who had planned to gather outside the Ministry of Education but had to concentrate in the surroundings of the Central University of Venezuela after the National Government ordered a last minute partisan act to avoid the protest.

The popular response was thousands of teachers marching towards the center of the capital to demand the dignity of the profession and the restitution of the violated rights.

The workers not only face "the effects of the capitalist crisis and imperialist aggressions, but also the anti-popular policies of the Maduro government," said Rosas.

Since the restart of classes, the Venezuelan teachers have been in the streets demanding decent salaries and last Sunday, Teachers' Day, the Executive tried to mitigate the discontent with a bonus and disqualifying the mobilizations as destabilization attempts.

"The world upside down: they label the workers and the PCV as extreme right wing for demanding rights and the one who sits down to negotiate with the reaction is the Government of Maduro in Mexico", affirmed the National Secretary of Organization of the PCV.

Rosas informed that the party of the Red Rooster held this weekend a National Plenary of Education Workers in view of the urgent need for organization, mobilization and defense of the historical conquests of the sector.

Presidential Annual Report and Account was a pantomime

For the PCV, President Maduro's Annual Report and Account was rather the presentation of inflated figures that are encouraging for the capitalists and that do not reflect the daily reality of the Venezuelan people.

The message presented before the National Assembly "shows the complete disconnection of the President with the daily life of the working class that in the face of this is organizing to fight for their just demands."

"The PCV complied with not going to that pantomime and, as we have always done, we remain on the side of the working class and in defense of the struggles that have been developing", he added.

Government detained sidoristas to neutralize the protests in Guayana

The PCV expressed its solidarity with the workers of Sidor and of the basic industries of Guayana, who for several days kept protesting for wages.

"We know of all the deterrents used by the Government to divert the objectives of these protests", said Rosas.

"What did the National Government do? it arrested Sidor workers; it harassed union leaders and established a negotiation table to propose again wage bonus measures", he added.

Solidarity with the Peruvian people

The Communist Party sent a message of solidarity with the struggles of the Latin American people, "very particularly with the Peruvian working class that is the victim of a brutal repression that has left in recent days more than 40 assassinations."

"Today a State of Emergency has been imposed that intends to contain the struggle for elections and a National Constituent Assembly", explained Rosas.

Conferencia de prensa: El PCV está en la calle para enfrentar las políticas antipopulares del Gobierno de Maduro 

Caracas, 16-01-2023 (Redacción TP).- “El PCV está en la calle, luchando por la construcción de la mas amplia unidad de acción para enfrentar la ofensiva del capital y sus aliados en Miraflores”, afirmó Janohi Rosas, integrante del Buró Político del Comité Central del Partido Comunista de Venezuela, durante la rueda de prensa de este lunes.

Las declaraciones coincidieron con una nueva jornada nacional de protesta de las y los trabajadores de la educación quienes tenían previsto concentrarse en las afueras del Ministerio de Educación pero que debieron hacerlo en los alrededores de la Universidad Central de Venezuela luego de el Gobierno Nacional ordenara un acto partidario de última hora para evitar la protesta.

La respuesta popular fueron miles de docentes marchando hacia el centro de la capital para exigir la dignificación de la profesión y la restitución de los derechos conculcados.

Los trabajadores no solo enfrentan “los embates de la crisis capitalista y las agresiones imperialistas sino las políticas antipopulares del gobierno de Maduro”, dijo Rosas.

Desde el reinicio de las clases, el magisterio venezolano se ha mantenido en la calle demandando salarios dignos y el pasado domingo, Día del Maestro, el Ejecutivo intentó paliar el descontento con un bono y descalificando las movilizaciones como intentos de desestabilización.

“El mundo al revés: califican a los trabajadores y al PCV de ser de extrema derecha por exigir derechos y quien se sienta a negociar con la reacción es el Gobierno de Maduro en México”, afirmó la Secretaria Nacional de Organización del PCV.

Rosas informó que el partido del Gallo Rojo realizó este fin de semana un Pleno Nacional de Trabajadores y Trabajadoras de la Educación ante la imperiosa necesidad de organización, movilización y defensa de las conquistas históricas de sector.

Memoria y cuenta presidencial fue una pantomima

Para el PCV, la Memoria y Cuenta del Presidente Maduro fue más bien la presentación de cifras infladas que son alentadoras para los capitalistas y que no reflejan la realidad cotidiana del pueblo venezolano.

El mensaje presentado ante la Asamblea Nacional “muestra la desconexión completa del Presidente con la vida cotidiana de la clase trabajadora que ante ello se organiza para luchar por sus justas demandas”.

“El PCV cumplió con no acudir a esa pantomima y, como siempre lo ha hecho, se mantiene del lado de la clase trabajadora y en defensa de las luchas que se vienen desarrollando”, agregó.

Gobierno detuvo sidoristas para neutralizar las protestas en Guayana

El PCV expresó su solidaridad con las y los trabajadores de Sidor y de las empresas básicas de Guayana quienes durante varios días se mantuvieron protestando por salarios.

“Sabemos de todos los elementos disuasivos que utilizó el Gobierno para desviar los objetivos de estas protestas”, dijo Rosas.

“Qué hizo el Gobierno Nacional: detuvo a trabajadores sidoristas; hostigó a dirigentes sindicales y estableció una mesa de negociación para proponer nuevamente medidas de bonificación salarial”, agregó.

Solidaridad con el pueblo peruano

El Partido Comunista envió un mensaje de solidaridad con las luchas del pueblo latinoamericano, “muy particularmente con la clase trabajadora peruana que es víctima de una brutal represión que ha dejado en los últimos días más de 40 asesinatos”.

“Hoy se ha impuesto un Estado de Emergencia que pretende contener la lucha por elecciones y Asamblea Nacional Constituyente”, explicó Rosas.
