Remembering the Tragedy of 1942 in Southern Bačka and Novi Sad: A Call for Peace and Solidarity on the Balkans

The working classes of the Balkans—Serbs, Croats, Bosniaks, Albanians, Macedonians, and others—share common struggles and aspirations. Together, they must reject the divisive politics of nationalism and instead fight for a world free from exploitation.

This vision can only be realized through the creation of a society rooted in socialism, where the wealth produced by the people is returned to them, and resources are managed for the benefit of all, not a privileged few. By standing united, the nations of the Balkans can break free from the chains of neocolonialism, ensuring that the tragedies of the past are never repeated and that the region becomes a model of peace, cooperation, and shared prosperity.

Let the memory of 1942 serve as both a solemn warning and a rallying call for the people of the Balkans to unite in building a better, more just future. Only through solidarity and collective struggle can the region truly honor its past and forge a brighter path forward.
