Solidarity with the Cuban people and the Communist Party of Cuba

Declaration of the Central Committee of the Party of Labour of Austria (Partei der Arbeit Österreichs, PdA), Vienna, 15 November 2021 

The Party of Labour of Austria condemns all attempts to destabilise the Republic of Cuba. "Exile" contras and counterrevolutionaries, under the guidance of US imperialism, are striving to spread uncertainty, disinformation, lies and discontent. The aim of these forces is clear: it is to end the Cuban Revolution and socialism, to restore capitalist conditions and to reintegrate the country into imperialism's system of domination and oppression. For this goal, these forces are ready to expose the Cuban people to the dangers of political, economic and, in the last instance, military interventions of imperialism. 

In fact, it is only socialism that allows the Cuban people to live a self-determined life without exploitation, with full participation in a high-level health and education system, cultural diversity, social security and democratic sovereignty of the people. It is the criminal US blockade that is responsible for economic and social problems, but the Cuban government knows how to deal with it. It will not allow counter-revolutionary and imperialist forces to implement hypocritical campaigns to deprive the people of their won rights and opportunities. Cuba has a future because it is a socialist future. The counterrevolutionaries want to go back to the past of dependency, oppression and exploitation. 

The Party of Labour of Austria stands in resolute internationalist solidarity at the side of the Cuban people, their revolutionary government and their Communist Party. We send solidarity greetings to the Cuban people and fraternal greetings to the Communist Party of Cuba. The people will win, the revolution will win, socialism will win!

Solidarität mit dem kubanischen Volk und der Kommunistischen Partei Kubas

Erklärung des Parteivorstandes der Partei der Arbeit Österreichs (PdA), Wien, 15. November 2021 

Die Partei der Arbeit Österreichs verurteilt alle Versuche, die Republik Kuba zu destabilisieren. „Exil“-Contras und konterrevolutionäre Personen bemühen sich unter Anleitung des US-Imperialismus, Verunsicherung, Desinformation, Lügen und Unzufriedenheit zu verbreiten. Das Ziel dieser Kräfte ist klar: Es geht um die Beendigung der Kubanischen Revolution und des Sozialismus, um die Wiederherstellung kapitalistischer Verhältnisse und die Wiedereingliederung des Landes in das Herrschafts- und Unterdrückungssystem des Imperialismus. Für dieses Ziel sind diese Kräfte bereit, das kubanische Volk den Gefahren politischer, wirtschaftlicher und in letzter Instanz auch militärischer Interventionen des Imperialismus auszusetzen. 

Tatsächlich ist es aber nur der Sozialismus, der der kubanischen Bevölkerung ein selbstbestimmtes Leben ohne Ausbeutung ermöglicht, mit voller Teilhabe an einem hochstehenden Gesundheits- und Bildungssystems, an kultureller Vielfalt, sozialer Sicherheit und demokratischer Souveränität des Volkes. Es ist die verbrecherische US-Blockade, die für wirtschaftliche und soziale Probleme verantwortlich ist, doch die kubanische Regierung weiß damit umzugehen. Sie wird es nicht zulassen, dass konterrevolutionäre und imperialistische Kräfte heuchlerische Kampagnen umsetzen, um das Volk seiner erkämpften Rechte und Möglichkeiten zu berauben. Kuba hat eine Zukunft, weil es eine sozialistische Zukunft ist. Die Konterrevolutionäre wollen zurück in die Vergangenheit der Abhängigkeit, der Unterdrückung und Ausbeutung. 

Die Partei der Arbeit Österreichs steht in entschiedener internationalistischer Solidarität an der Seite des kubanischen Volkes, seiner revolutionären Regierung und seiner Kommunistischen Partei. Wir senden solidarische Grüße an das kubanische Volk und geschwisterliche Grüße an die Kommunistische Partei Kubas. Das Volk wird siegen, die Revolution wird siegen, der Sozialismus wird siegen!
