Dear Comrades

The SACP expressed its deepest and profound solidarity with KKE, its youth formation KNE and militant trade union PAME on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the Polytechnic students uprising. This momentous occasion inspired generations of communists in Greece and was a springboard upon which future struggles were waged and important victories scored.

We note that the authoritarian right wing government in Greece banned and acted extra-judicial in seeking to stop the 47th anniversary under the pretext of Covid-19 even though all measures were taken by KKE.

We express our fraternal solidarity and are of the firm view that our common positions: anti-imperialism and anti-capitalism will prevail both in Greece, South Africa and elsewhere in the global through the intensification of an all round struggle and collective-joint programs. On this occasion we also remember the students and others who were martyred and in whose honour we shall continue the struggle until victory.

Solcialism is the future! Build it now!
