Confusing and contradictory news have surrounded the "Agreement" between the Alliance of the Forces for Freedom and Change and the Transitional Military Council (TMC).
However, after the dust settled, it has become clear that the "Agreement" with its two documents; the political and constitutional, is not acceptable to the forces for Freedom and Change.
1- In statement the Central Committee of the Sudanese Communist Party made clear that the "Agreement" that had been received does not meet neither the aspiration nor the achievement of the goals of the revolution. It called for the continuation of the mass actions until achieving the civil rule.
2- The statement stressed that the "Agreement" accepted all the undemocratic laws of Albashir’s regime. It approved all international and regional agreements made by the defunct regime, specially the Arab military Alliance waging the war in Yemen, the agreement with Africom, and the facilities given to the CIA station in the country. All of which constitute a clear violation of Sudan’s sovereignty.
3- The Central Committee condemned the retreat from the previous agreements regarding the immediate establishment of the Legislative Council and the acceptance of a local national committee, rather than an international committee, to investigate the crimes of the junta.
4- The "Agreement" kept in tact the interests of the parasitic factions, the repressive organs of the state and militias, including the Rapid Support forces and the national information and security. It stated that as such the "Agreement”, rather than providing the framework for dismantling of the dictatorial and deep state, actually maintains it.
5- The proposal for the Sovereignty Council goes a long way to establish a presidential republic through the powers bestowed on it to appoint the head of the judiciary, the public prosecutor a s well as other top state posts.
6- The “Agreement" has provided the Transitional Military Council (TMC) with protection against any future prosecution.
7- Based on the above mentioned, the Central Committee decided that the Sudanese CP will not participate in any of the three levels of government during the transitional period.
